I enthusiastically recommend Nick and his colleague Kris of SmartWay Integration/CVITTECH for their skill, dedication, and ingenuity in servicing and upgrading the computer-controlled Vantage lighting system that serves part of my house. The system was installed 20 years ago and began to malfunction largely due to the age of the computer processor driving the system. Diagnosing the problems in the system required specialized knowledge and perseverance. Nick implemented a plan to restore and enhance the system’s functionality while controlling costs by retaining those components that were compatible with the necessary upgraded equipment and software and thereby avoiding additional expense and costly rewiring. When there was a time lag between the availability of the new processor and the keypads used with it, he implemented a temporary system that used fewer keypads during the waiting period. Nick and Kris, who did the programming of the new system, were highly responsive and consistently went above and beyond in producing high-quality results.

SmartWay Integration Letters of recommendation are often a bit vague or soft on the difficulties once the work actually begins. The job that Nick and staff were tasked with was not an easy one, as the residence that was to be retrofitted had numerous hurdles to overcome! With no attic and or basement to run miles of wire through, we needed to come up with a plan to run conduit along the roof line back into the home then off to 4 server racks! Then we had to take some unique steps involving our electrician to snake the bundles of wire to their connective locations. All of this work was done with the homeowner still living in the home. The new addition and retrofitting of the home is now complete and the final look and functionality is exactly what the homeowner was asking for. The next wave of up-grades are starting and I forgot to mention the underground trenching needed for the guest house? The complexity was never an issue as solutions were only a discussion away!
