Shawn Thyng Paving

Had our driveway and walkways done last year, was told 1 year warranty, I’ve been 6 months trying to get the caving fixed. Holes and weeds growing through the pavement. After so many call’s to Shawn and tons of messages and text with no one showing up, I’m done, going to have to pay more to get it fixed through another company. They use recycled pavement that stays soft. Now I have holes caving in in my driveway!!! Don’t wast your money!

Where to start...My wife and I had STP pave our driveway the first week of June, and it is still "soft", it will not cure. We are unable to park our vehicles on the driveway because they sink down into the blacktop. Also, a berm to direct water was not completed at the most critical point of the driveway, WHERE THE WATER ENTERS! Oh, and some weird stains are now surfacing. I wouldn't be posting this review if they would have returned my telephone calls in an attempt to resolve the issues. I have called innumerable times and texted the owner's cell phone to no avail. The bottom line is that we've spent a tremendous amount of money on a driveway that we cannot use, and the company that took that money from us did just that-took our money and ran. Not surprisingly, we have two friends that had STP pave their driveways the same week and are experiencing similar issues-poor quality work and zero response from STP. I would speculate that the positive reviews posted here are from friends and family to help push the negative reviews down. Under no circumstances would I recommend Shawn Thing Paving. Anyone else that have had issues with STP is encouraged to contact me to discuss the possibility of a class action lawsuit.

I am writing on behalf of my elderly friends, a retired military family: "To any would-be customers - We spent $14,000 for our driveway in June of 2020. After more than 4 months of unsuccessful calls to STP to report serious cracks and holes, we are completely devastated by their lack of integrity. Despite their guarantees, they have not ever attempted to address our ruined driveway. STP really took full advantage of two trusting, God-fearing seniors in Medford, ME. As a retired military family, we are especially hurt by their deceitful business practices." My friends do not usually use a computer, but they wanted to make sure that other people were aware of their problem with this company.
