I had been a happy customer for years until recently. If you have old or antique jewelry, don't take it here for service of any kind, especially rings. From other reviews, there seems to be some issue with unapproved work and changes. Mine was supposed to be cleaned, checked that stones were not loose as I had no problems receiving this service several times in the past few years. This time, it was returned bent with all kinds of modern tool marks on the underside and extremely loose fitting. I could see drill marks and where the bottom of the band had been pressed in a vice. They admitted the mistake and offered to fix it. In this process, original parts were broken off as they will if you aren't using the correct methods and tools on antique pieces. Those parts should be built back up but were "reimagined" as smaller for lighting purposes that I don't care about. I was not given the gold and platinum pieces whick broke off but I am assuming they didn't go in the trash...I now know only a master bench jewler should be working on old pieces and am working with the original seller in a city across the country to restore it as historically accurately as possible. Unfortunately, antique gold and platinum are not cheap to replace. The more any antique is altered from its original state, the less valuable it is. Its like breaking a ming vase and gluing it back together. If you want to take the gamble, please do. But if anything happens to a cherished piece or valuable antique, you were warned.
