Terrible customer service, will not be coming back. Bought a $150 pair of boots whose stitching and leather began to come apart after 10 days; Runnings employee refused to exchange the boots despite having a clear exchange policy, claiming “that is expected to happen in 2 weeks.” I contacted the manufacturer with photos of the defect, and the manufacturer agreed to exchange the boots immediately.
The Runnings in Aberdeen is much like the 41st Street Ace hardware in Sioux Falls. Everybody there seems to know exactly where everything is, they are more than willing to go out of their way to show you exactly where it's at (even if that means walking a quarter mile to the other end of the store) and they're always friendly. Truth be told, I try not to miss a chance to stop by runnings.
If you've never been in a "Runnings" before the first time you walk through the doors is going to be a wow effect. I'm sure the locals just take it for granted, but this store is like a One-Stop shop for everything from clothing automotive farm equipment RV supplies fishing and hunting. It's a sporting goods store hardware store cooking supply garden supply and farming supply store. They have veterinary medicines and a huge assortment of farm equipment to choose from. I was impressed by the hardware section and the tools both electric and hand tools for just about every job.
