Richard's Music Co

My grandson is teaching himself to play the guitar, after playing the saxophone in his schools jazz band. He was looking for an electric one to start his newest adventure and was ready to spend his newly acquired birthday money to purchase one. We came across Richard's Music Co and the rest of his story has begun. The guys were extremely helpful and took their time explaining the various aspects of the guitars and amps. It was an amazing experience for my grandson, his mother and myself. He is super happy with what he bought and is looking forward to next summer and their summer band jam. I highly recommend Richard's Music Co!

We've been going to Richard's Music for quite a few years now. We've always have gotten good service and good deals. I like that all the guys in the store are seasoned musicians in bands. They are always very helpful and knowledgeable. I've had guitars and amps worked on here too. Turn around it pretty quick. While it's not a huge place, it is jam packed with new and used equipment. You don't see it in any of the photos but there is an upstairs with some drum kits and other equipment. We stop in often to see what the latest used stuff they have is. My kids like to noodle on guitars every once in a while and the staff does not mind, in fact they encourage it. It's places like this that make Downtown Lawrence fun to visit. Update: I guess I posted that about 10 years ago now :) We still frequent Richard's Music for all our instrument needs. We've become good friends with a lot of the Music teachers and staff. I was there yesterday checking stuff out :) Still one of go to places for getting instruments and gear,new and used as well as repairs.
