Recycle Video Games

To be fair, I haven’t gone in in a while. It’s probably been about 10 years. I grew up in this town and Annie, the owner, was one of the people that I was most excited to talk to upon visiting downtown, because she had what I considered to be the coolest jobs in the entire world: she owned a video game store. And not only that, I came in enough that she started recommending games to me, games that at the time were very hard to find in American markets for a kid in the early 2000s. I bought Katamari for the PS2 here under her suggestion. I bought the PC version of FF7 here. I still have both of these, among many others. They’re precious. I recently passed by another location in Newport, and was delighted to find out that not only is the business still going strong, but Annie is still the owner! She might not recognize me now (I used to go by a different name), but I hope that anyone still frequenting is still receiving the same sense of delight I did entering the doors and looking around.
