Recently, we purchased our first home and everything was perfect except the previous owners had, for whatever reason, only fenced in 95% of the yard. With an active dog, a toddler, and a baby on the way, I needed a solution to allow activity in the backyard without chasing any of these small creatures all over creation. I asked a colleague at work if he knew a good fence guy and, without hesitation, I received a contact card via text and a simple message: "Call Chris". I left a message that Wednesday at noon; by 5 pm, Chris was at my house, taking measurements in the rain, offering suggestions and, by the next morning, he sent me a quote for me to approve. One week later, I came home to find concrete poured and fence posts installed with a text from Chris saying they would be hanging the wire next week. Early Sunday morning, my wife went into labor and we went to the hospital; when we were discharged and arrived back home at noon on Monday, the fence and gates were up. I cannot even begin to describe the weight that has been lifted off my shoulders being able to open the back door and let the dog run free while I attend to a hungry infant. It is such a simple luxury, but also knowing that my wife and children can be out in the backyard and not worry about the several roving dogs in our neighborhood, or somebody wandering off, or the peace of mind I get at night knowing it's that much harder for something to come into my backyard in the middle of the night, is priceless. I also deeply appreciate his ... humanity. As we were walking around looking at things, he answered the thousand or so questions. My daughter asked him with a kind smile and a positive attitude that I would not have expected from a man who had been up since 5:30 that morning in the rain and the cold working all day. I received the perfect amount of communication from him letting me know what his timeline was and, when we arrived home from the hospital and I saw the completed work, I texted my appreciation. He responded "Congratulations! No problem man. I will send invoice at some point. No rush on payment, whenever life settles down some." If you have a project that requires fencing, big or small, if it's planning, brainstorming, or execution, call Chris. You will not be disappointed.
