Wanted to "shop local", so I contacted Pro Transmission for an upgrade to the transmission in my 2000 Silverado 1500. $2100 price was competitive and agreed to. Transmission delivered in March 2024 lasted less than 200 miles before clutches failed. When codes were set, builder advised to clear codes and drive it. Builder then claimed failure was due to torque converter I had purchased (new), which was found to be OK. Builder charged another $800 to repair what should have been under warranty (they had my tranny, so what else could I do?). That rebuild lasted about 100 miles before the pump failed. 3rd rebuild seemed OK, but builder suggested... That rebuild lasted about 100 miles before the pump failed. 3rd rebuild seemed OK, but builder suggested pressures were too high. After checking pressures when warmed up, he deemed it OK, but cracked the case when reinstalling a temperature sensor. Unit leaked a quart of fluid in 11 miles. I now have a $3000+ boat anchor instead of a transmission. I have been trying to reach the builder since October 2024 (now March 2025), but he doesn't respond to texts, telephone, or certified mail. I guess the Sheriff's Department is the next step... Mr. Deans has asked me to remove this review. The Magistrate dismissed the complaint, but not that that the claim was false, only that I didn't prove my case,
Billy and his staff do amazing work! I have had to take 3 vehicles to him now as our company has a fleet of vehicles. Every time I have had work done, it has been completed promptly with wonderful results! They are Trustworthy, Fairly Priced and are extremely Skilled, even with the unusual problems! The quality of work is Top Notch!
DO NOT TRUST OR USE THIS COMPANY, unless you have money you to waste. We have over $8000 spent and absolutely NOTHING to show for it. We dropped off a van and a truck back in April 2025 to have both transmissions rebuilt, paid for both and we got the truck back and had it back for a few days and then we had to have it towed back because NOTHING was done. They said they would take care of it since it was under warranty. It sat there for months and they hadn't touched it. So we had the truck towed back so it was in our possession again, and to find out, they removed the battery from the truck which was only 1 year old. (No idea where it is) Bu... When we called them to get updates they would continue to tell us the same thing every time, "we are working on it and we will have it ready in 3 days" So now, no one will return our phone calls and they have over $8000 of our money and we have to nothing to show for it. For a company to be call Pro Transmissions, . that is a joke. They are fraud.........
Pro Transmission quoted us a reasonable price to replace the transmission on one of our school buses. Their ability to schedule us immediately and turn it around quickly helped us with timing for the new school year. We appreciate Pro Transmission for a wonderful experience.
