Portland Star Plumbing was easy to work with, prompt, and very professional. They fixed a long-standing problem (incorrectly plumbed utility sink). Both service technicians observed COVID guidelines and cleaned up after themselves. We we’re very pleased, and will be hiring them to do a big job—all the plumbing for a new, above-garage apartment—this spring!

FIVE STARS PLUS!!! I rarely write reviews, but, I needed to take the time to write a review for Portland Star Plumbing. My father is coming back to his home on Mt. Hood for hospice/end of life. After having this as a rental for 7 years, there was some work that needed to be done. Also, per his doctor, we need ADA compliance for most fixtures. After pulling the toilet, I understood that true plumbing is a skill best left to professionals. I needed help with replacing the toilet (ADA), replacing fixtures and getting a bid on moving the water heater from (not kidding) the attic. I had a “must do” list to get dad in and a “want to” list (... FIVE STARS PLUS!!! I rarely write reviews, but, I needed to take the time to write a review for Portland Star Plumbing. I had a “must do” list to get dad in and a “want to” list (new dishwasher, move water heater, etc.). For weeks I tried to find a plumber that would go to Rhododendron Oregon. I tried word of mouth references, Google, Angies list, everything. Most often, phone calls were unreturned, even those asking for another reference that would do the work. The (VERY) few that did give me the courtesy of a call didn’t go “to the mountain.” I found Portland Star Plumbing by driving by for yet another trip to the mountain and (thank goodness) seeing the sign. On a Saturday. I found the number and called, leaving a message on the weekend. I assumed it would be listened to at 7AM Monday, and ignored at 7:05. I received a call from a VERY professional office staff that took my information including an overview of the project. Quickly, she told me that they would be able to do the project and that one of their plumbers would call. I assumed a few days (if ever). I received a call 1 hour later. I happened to be on my way to Bend for work, he asked if he could meet me SAME DAY as I was there. Absolutely! I met the team (of 2) 3 hours later. They understood the need, the urgency and the holistic need of the project overall. They gave me 2 bids to cover immediate need and larger projects. They started the NEXT DAY. Not only did they complete the job professionally, they looked at all the fixtures, bath and kitchen and made little repairs at no charge. I just stopped by and the work was above excellent. Pricing was reasonable, especially given the drive. It is a difficult time, made harder being ignored behind new construction and larger projects. Portland Star made it all easy. They will be dong ALL my work going forward, and if they go into Portland (I am sure they do), they will be putting an entire bathroom in my basement. I know for certain I can trust the work. And I know the pricing will be fair. But more than anything, I know the PEOPLE will be responsive, great communicators and professionals. THANK YOU PSP! And thank you from my dad.
