Plew's Heating & Air Conditioning

Plew's Heating & AC was the company which serviced my Home Warranty policy, and it was fortunate for me that it did. The insurance company said that I would receive a response from Plew's in up to 1-day. Instead, Plew's called me in only hours, and the call was to ask if the technician could come over immediately. Wow! When does that ever happen? When he arrived, the technician was clearly well-experienced, and in short order found that the problem was the fan to the AC unit needed to be replaced. For this, he needed authorization from the insurance company that it was a covered repair. Not only did he instantly contact the insurance company by message or email with his smartphone, but he also proceeded to take the extra step of having his office call the insurance company to get a response to his inquiry. I was impressed with his exemplary initiative, responsibility, and communication skills. After a few minutes of waiting, the technician explained that he expected it would take an hour for him to receive the required authorization. In that hour, he would go on to another service call and then if he had received authorization, come back to replace the fan, or call me if the repair had not been approved. By the time the technician returned, it was already 4:45pm, quitting time for many workmen, but not him. He had mentioned when he called back that he'd go directly to the AC unit, repair the problem, and only afterwards would he need my time, which was very clear and helpful. It was just after 6pm when he was done. The technician was also so thoughtful to replace an extremely dirty air filter, gave me instructions about preventive maintenance to my unit, and let me know that Plew's sells the filters I need at the lowest price in town. I could not have imagined a better repair experience. It had been a couple of very hot days, over a holiday weekend that we were without AC, and the temperatures were to be even higher in the week to come. Plew's exceeded my expectations in every way but especially for its resourcefulness, perseverance, consideration, and commitment to getting this call completed in one day. To me, that shows the pride and integrity of this company.
