Like the other reviewers, I cannot say enough great things about Paul Morte and the work he does. I didn’t know much about tube amps and thought that, according to what I read online, my Vox AC30CH amp head was supposed to be running hot. After about an hour of playing, I always wondered if the amp was supposed to be that hot when I went to switch off the power. The amp was still under warranty when it wouldn’t turn on one day. Paul’s business is an authorized Korg service center that I found online through Korg’s website. I called and a human being answered the phone and I was able to bring my amp in for them to look at. Two of the tubes were busted, and the transformer broke. The tubes were not under warranty, but the transformer was, so I was able to send Paul some tubes that he recommended I buy to replace the set with the broken tubes, and he took care of the transformer with Vox. Straightforward, honest, professional, very reasonable turnaround time, extremely knowledgeable about amps and servicing them - and he made sure I didn’t spend more than I needed. Paul told me how to care for the amp to keep it running well, and gave me tips on how to use it to its potential. Thanks to Paul, a two hour session with my amp doesn’t end with the amp feeling like I can barbecue a shish kebab over it. I’m so fortunate that Paul Morte Technical Services is close by, and wish every electric guitar player had access to someone like Paul. He’s a true expert and a wonderful person.
