I called for service on my broken garage door. I asked about scheduling and also if I could get a quote to just have both doors replaced instead of repaired. The secretary said she would get some numbers together and call me back to schedule. That was almost 2 weeks ago, and I haven't heard a word.
I went ahead and called the next local garage company on Google and they are on their way out today. Overhead Door Company apparently doesn't want paying customers. Poor communication and customer service!
I called them last year as a door they installed in what I assume to be the early or late 90's had met the end of its useful life and needed replaced. I was out of town and trying to coordinate the replacement remotely, and had no specific measurements for them other than it was a double stall garage door. Surprisingly, they still had the records of the door replacement all those years ago and were able to replace the door on the same day. Having those records ensured they arrived at my house with the correct door size and correct parts. I cannot recommend them enough, and will be calling them when I am ready to replace the single stall garage door.
Very disappointed in customer service with Overhead Door of Gillette. Most businesses, including my own, thrive on customer service, and not necessarily who has the cheapest prices. I called last Monday morning to have 2 garage doors serviced. I was told the next available appointment would be for that Friday in the am, which I would suspect would be from the opening of the business day until noon, and that a service tech would call prior to arrival. As of noon I had not received a call or a service tech at the house. I waited until after lunch to call the office and confirm if my appointment was still scheduled. I was informed no one had put me on the schedule and that they would see if they had a service tech available. I waited another 45mins to an hour and called back again, already in my mind knowing Friday afternoon no one would show up. I was correct. During this call, I confirmed another appointment for this morning, between 9-10. Again another no-show or phone call. I called the office around 11 and after being on hold was told it would be after 2pm. I declined the appointment and have taken business elsewhere.
I get times are trying, but communication is key in the business world.
Great experience! The lower panel on my door was rusting do to contact with snow and age. Overhead Door Co. had the exact replacement panel and new weather-strip. The technician was so quick and courteous. After the replacement, the technician lubricated and adjusted my door and it works like new and is so much quieter. Thank you Overhead Door Company!
