Buyer Beware I have had a good relationship with Fawley Music for years and was surprised to have this most recent interaction but felt I should share it. I was purchasing D'Addario SX mandolin string (which retail at the D'Addario site for around $22). I chose to buy local and was also happy to be able to get them right away. When I checked out, the sales person said, "Those are buy one get one free if you want to grab another pair." I did so. He rang it up and the total was $42. I was a little startled but in a hurry and just left with the strings. As I called back later I pointed out the discrepancy saying that it was not BOGO at all and he said "Well, that's the package price we have when you buy two sets." I asked "How much would you charge if I purchased one set?" and he quoted the more reasonable $21 amount. I said "so it's really not buy one get one free at all," and he replied "if you want to look at it like that." I will keep my strings because I don't trust myself to hold my irrational temper if I were to go in to return them and I can always use another pair of strings. But note- Fawley Music does not define "buy one get one free" the way most businesses do.
