My dashboard was flashing the airbag light. I was able to make a quick appointment and dropped off my car. It did take a full day only I think because there were customers ahead of me. Repair was a wiring issue and repair was completed with successful results. I definitely will reach out again for future repairs.
My Cousin and I drove to Bowling Green from Glasgow and once we were on our way back home something started making noise on her car so we immediately starting looking for a mechanic to look at it. We found Musser Automotive and asked them to look at her car and they didn't hesitate to look at it and they fixed it right then and there and we are safely on our way back home. I will say the staff are friendly and quick reacting and also the vibe I got from the building and the inside was like being in my Dad's Garage again doing car stuff with him. would highly recommend this shop for any need
I cannot express enough gratitude to Musser Automotive for their auto repair expertise and customer service. Our son’s car overheated while away from home at WKU. We had previously replaced the thermostat and water pump at Kaiser Tire Pros in Louisville. The closest shop in their warranty network was in Glasgow, KY so we had the car towed there in case the issue was the thermostat or water pump it would be covered under warranty. Southern KY Tire Pros gave us no timeline, no price for “diagnosis”, and zero communication unless we called them. After keeping the car 2 WEEKS, they said it passed the block test and passed coolant intrusion tests. We drove 3 hours to meet their staff in person and get some information on next steps. We started the car right up in freezing temps and it idled an hour with no overheating. They bled the coolant and then they drove it, and said the temperature spiked. Their diagnosis…blown engine, needs engine replacement. This car purred like a kitten when we started it. So I had it towed to Musser Automotive for a second opinion and could not be happier!! Even the tow truck driver said no way this car has a blown engine. Ben at Musser provided the best customer service from start to finish. He called me when the car arrived on property, quoted a diagnostic fee. Within 2 hours he was calling back to say they found the issue. Blown fuse to the secondary water pump. I approved the quote and Ben ordered the part. Installed it the very next day!! They took the car on multiple and lengthy road tests and there are no overheating issues now. I’m not sure how another shop could say blown engine, even though it passed every blown engine test they said they did. But I am so grateful Musser Automotive is honest and reliable. Also Musser used a Baroscope to see down in the engine and there is zero evidence of coolant intrusion. Thank you Musser!!
I recently had my vehicle serviced here, and I encountered a slew of issues. Being new to Kentucky and not knowing the area made it really difficult to find a service shop I could trust. After hearing so many people praise Musser Auto and recommend it, I decided to give them a try. I dropped my car off after hours at the last minute, and they had no issues with that. They worked on my vehicle for two to three days and stayed in contact every step of the way. Every issue I had was repaired, and they even went the extra mile to ensure there was nothing else going on. The staff was always quick to respond and very easy to communicate with! When I received my car back, I literally felt like I was in a new Camaro. To make a long story short (because God knows I can extend this story), they are now my go-to mechanic shop without a doubt, and all the praise they received from others is well-deserved! You will not be disappointed! They also provide a warranty and NEVER IN MY LIFE have I been to any shop that provides this type of warranty on parts they worked on. LOVE THESE GALS AND GUYS! Absolutely phenomenal work!
I was recommended to Musser Auto by a loved one, and I will gladly recommend them to others as well. I was completely at a loss as to what was wrong with my car. I typically handle my own brakes and minor repairs, so taking it to a shop for a more extensive issue made me anxious - both about cost and about my lack of knowledge.
I had the car towed to Musser Auto and received a call within an hour of drop-off - they were already investigating the issue. By the next morning, they had called with a clear diagnosis and pricing. I was very price-conscious, and Ben took the time to find a part that worked within my budget. He explained the timeline clearly, saying it would likely take about a week for the part to come in and another day for repairs.
Imagine my surprise when I received a call just two days later letting me know the part had arrived and the repair was already completed. During testing, they identified an additional issue, explained it thoroughly, and gave me the option to address it without pressure, which I appreciated and chose to do.
Throughout the entire process, I genuinely felt that Musser Auto had my best interests in mind. What I expected to be a stressful and overwhelming experience was made significantly easier thanks to the care, transparency, and professionalism of the team. I will absolutely be back (hopefully just for an oil change next time!) but it’s reassuring to know that no matter the issue, I’ll be well taken care of.
