I had a very disappointing experience at this business. The owner’s (Tracy’s) communication was unprofessional and condescending, which made the interaction quite unpleasant. After reading other reviews, it appears this behavior is not uncommon. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend this establishment and chose to take my business elsewhere. We were able to find a much more welcoming and customer-focused store to purchase an instrument for our son. Response to Tracy (owner) First of all. I wasn’t turned down. I decided not to use your services after my experience. Nice try though. It’s sad that you made an attempt to discredit my review based off of other reviews I have made. I have just as many 5 star as I have 1 star reviews. You need to work on your people skills and maybe you would get better reviews. You have a very nasty personality.

I was charged twice when I paid in cash and only $14 was supposed to be debited. Then it was a random $63 charge to my account. I’m sorry but you don’t make careless mistakes like that. What if your carelessness caused my account to overdraft? Then I’ve reached out to this company since I’ve seen all these charges and have yet to hear back! My child didn’t need the drumstick kit because we frequent the guitar center but I didn’t want him to feel left out in class however I will NEVER utilize this company.

Family owned business!! Tracy and her team are a pleasure to work with. They are extremely knowledgeable and professional! During a step up promotion they were hosting in December 2024, I took my son in to look at upgrading his saxophone. Tracy had a professional saxophone player in house that day to help determine which instrument would best suit his playing ability and foster his musical growth. After Tracy and several of the staff members spent 2 hours with us, it was determined which instrument was the right fit. Not only was it not the most expensive instrument in the store (which I expected) it was among the lesser expensive ones. No pressure. No upsales. Just pure honesty and integrity. We will continue to do business with Musical Innovations. We also had my sons old saxophone repaired here. That also was a very positive experience. Well worth the extra 8 minute drive ;)

Tracy, the owner, took so much time with us. I reached out from North Carolina upon the recommendation of my daughter’s band director. Tracy called me immediately. We spent some time on the phone while she determined our specific needs. She was willing to send several flutes to North Carolina for my daughter to test. We ended up being able to drive to Greenville to visit Tracy in person. She and her staff were incredibly friendly and accommodating. They spent a lot of time with my daughter as she determined which flute was right for her. We left with a new flute and more knowledge than we had when we came in. It was an incredible experience. I would drive the 2 and a half hours all over again just to do business with Tracy and her staff. Highly recommend!!
