First I was told my window was noon to 4 pm. I got a call at around 10:15 that the tech would be at my house at 11AM, making me hurry to get home in time. Tech reviewed kitchen sink, tub, and recommended a valve replacement for the kitchen shut off and provided the quote. Tech started in the tub. I heard him talking to himself. After a little while, he got his stuck snake out of the drain. He then started on the kitchen sink. After a while, a second tech showed up to help him with the sink. They worked together and got the sink working well. The second tech must have left. First tech showed me the stacks for the toilet and tub, and explained why he recommended replacement and said he would send a quote. He told me about his stuck snake, he wasn’t going to charge me for snaking it, but it was draining slowly still. I told him it wasn’t draining, but he insisted he put more water in it. I then went to the shutoff and asked if it was replaced. He thanked me for reminding him. Fixed it, I paid and he left. I went into bathroom. Tub was not draining at all. I grabbed my auger. Sent it down five times. Pulled out three large clumps of hair. Tub is now draining. Not as big of a deal to me since I wasn’t charged, but if it was someone incapable of clearing it, just wanted to let you know.
