Deserves less than one star. I scheduled a handyman to stop by for an estimate this Monday over the weekend. I was told that I could schedule Tuesday and that I would receive a call in the late morning when the handyman was on his way. I requested someone to help bring a 138 pound 42.8” W x 62.6" L x 7.6” H box up two flights of steps (26 in total), unbox the base, place it on top of my existing bed frame, and place my mattress on top of it. Literally no assembly required. I have a stair climbing dolly and I anticipated doing all of the above as a not so strong person before I had emergency surgery last Friday. I didn’t receive a call until the handyman was at my door and I was quoted over $800 (including an $85 fee to stop by and provide an estimate that was never mentioned by the admin who scheduled me) to bring a box up the stairs and put a fully assembled base on the floor with my mattress on top of it. Obviously I declined. I would ask around your work, neighborhood, facebook etc before wasting time with this company. Additionally I specifically stated that I would walk with him to look at the house because I didn’t want my kittens to get out as they are strictly inside, and at some point he went downstairs to work on the estimate. When he went downstairs he had left the basement door to the garage open and the garage door itself was open. One of my kittens had snuck downstairs and could have at any point in time just ran outside. I only realized she was not where she should have been because she was so scared she was crying.
