Farris took great care to assist me and be incredibly professional. I sincerely hope Mobile Comm takes good care of him as an employee. He made this easy, straight forward, got the phone fixed, account secured, and their really is no reason to go anywhere else.
If you were on the fence about where to go, I hope this message convinces you to go in ask for "Farris" and you'll walk out happy.
Mobile Comm thank you.
Farris, my friends and family will be back!
Thank you again! π
I donβt usually write long reviews, but my experience with Farris at MobileComm absolutely deserves it. My Pixel phone had been giving me problems for weeks β the screen was glitching, it wouldnβt hold a charge, and eventually it stopped turning on altogether. I was ready to give up and spend money on a new phone, but a friend suggested I bring it to Farris first. That turned out to be the best decision I could have made.
From the moment I walked into MobileComm, Farris made me feel comfortable and confident that my phone was in the right hands. He greeted me right away, listened carefully to everything I explained, and asked good questions about the problems Iβd been having. What stood out to me immediately was how professional yet approachable he was. He didnβt make me feel rushed, and he never talked down to me like Iβve experienced at other repair places.
After a quick inspection, he began explaining the possible issues. Instead of just throwing out guesses or pushing me toward the most expensive fix, Farris broke things down clearly. He told me what might be wrong, what steps he would take to diagnose it, and how much different repair options could cost. He even pointed out the risks and benefits of each option so I could make the best choice for myself. That honesty and transparency really stood out.
Once he started working on my Pixel, I could tell right away that Farris was an expert. He handled every part of the process with precision and confidence. Watching him work, you could see that this wasnβt just a job for him β itβs something heβs passionate about and truly skilled at. He had the parts he needed ready to go and explained what he was doing as he went along, which gave me peace of mind.
The turnaround time completely blew me away. I honestly expected to leave my phone for a few days, maybe even a week. Instead, Farris had my Pixel up and running the very same day. When I came back to pick it up, I could hardly believe it was the same phone I had dropped off. The screen was flawless, the glitches were gone, and it powered on like new. It wasnβt just fixed β it felt like it had been restored to brand-new condition.
What really makes Farris stand out, though, isnβt just his technical skill β itβs the way he treats his customers. Heβs friendly, approachable, and easy to talk to. While he was repairing my phone, he kept the conversation light and made the experience enjoyable. It didnβt feel like just a transaction; it felt like I was being helped by a trusted friend who actually cared about getting my phone back to perfect condition.
On top of that, Farris guaranteed his work. He told me that if anything came up, I could bring the phone back and heβd take care of it. That kind of confidence and accountability says everything about the pride he takes in his repairs. Itβs not about making a quick sale β itβs about doing the job right and making sure the customer is happy.
Since picking up my Pixel, it has been working perfectly. The screen is crisp and responsive, the battery life is better than itβs been in a long time, and I havenβt had a single issue. I went from stressing about buying a whole new phone to feeling like Iβm holding a brand-new device in my hands, all thanks to Farris. He literally saved me hundreds of dollars, and I couldnβt be more grateful.
If youβre thinking about getting your phone repaired, I canβt recommend MobileComm enough, and especially Farris. His combination of skill, honesty, and genuine customer service is rare to find these days. Iβve dealt with other repair shops before, and none of them even come close to the level of care and professionalism that Farris provides.
To put it simply: Farris at MobileComm is the best in the business. He turned what I thought was a lost cause into a phone thatβs working better than ever. Heβs earned my trust, my respect, and my business for life.
Thank you, Farris, for saving my Pixel and giving me such a great experience. Five stars doesnβt even feel like enough!
Long story, but worth the read.
My kids phone screen (Google Pixel 7 Pro) was cracked, but still completely usable so I decided to have them save their allowance this summer to pay and fix it. We were in the area so we went into MobileComm at 21st and Maize to get the screen replaced. Was told by the employee, Farris, that MobileComm is one of the only places in town that can fix Google Pixels and it would be roughly an hour to repair.
We came back and the screen had obviously been replaced but extremely dark to the point I couldn't even see the touchpad to enter the password. He states that something must have gone wrong but he had a 2nd screen and he could try to fix it again but just needed the password this time so we left again and came back and this is where things got interesting.
When we returned the 2nd time the original cracked screen was now back on the phone, even more cracked this time, obviously from handling it and attempting the repair but now the screen was glitching and jumping around and completely unusable, in way worse condition then it was before we came into the store.
I asked what happened and was told the 2nd screen also didn't work so he replaced the original screen but I wouldn't be charged for the work. To which I asked, Are you not able to order another screen or find a replacement phone or anything to figure this out? Now my kids are just without a phone?
It was at this point he started claiming there was water damage found in the phone and that it wasn't the parts but the phone that was bad and started interrupting me and getting unnecessarily confrontational telling me to leave the store now.
At that point I asked for another tech or location to go to or if there was an Owner or General Manager to talk to about this which he replied that he was the only one with the part so it didn't matter and there was no one else to contact, be it Corporate or GM or anything.
At this point I went to the location on 13th and West and contacted Christian who was great help and very professional telling me there is in fact a General Manager and he's not sure why I was told there wasn't. Christian was extremely helpful stating that they could order another screen to attempt the repair again but their company policy was to charge 50% for the part and service in order for it to be ordered and that there was no guarantee it would even fix the issue which was all completely understandable.
He directed me to ubreakifix to see if they had the part in stock, and were able to work on it. When I got to ubreakifix they took the phone and were able to easily peel the entire cracked screen off the phone at their counter without even using a heat gun showing that it hadn't even been sealed properly (3) and were able to show me the perfectly fine water damage indicator on the board (2) which was clearly not the issue with the repair that was allegedly the problem before. As well as the broken rubber piece (1) that only could have only been done after the heat gun had been used and the repair was attempted clearly showing that the previous tech had damaged the phone not my kids.
I also received a call from Farris at this point while I was at ubreakifix attempting to now provide a loaner phone or do anything to try to correct the issue
Come to find out from ubreakifix that it appears the connection to the motherboard was damaged from the previous repair as well and they were not able to work on the phone saying I'd need a new motherboard and screen and that the phone is essentially toast.
Returned to MobileComm to see what could be done at this point and Farris asked to work on the phone again or sell us an inferior phone for our trouble which was unacceptable and then refused to put anything in writing and again claimed there was no general manager to contact, and that he was the general manager which we know from the 13th Street store is simply not true.
Overall terrible experience, wish I could give a zero.
