Came here with a water damaged phone and the employee blatantly lied to my face and tried to scam me out of my money. Here’s what happened: My phone got water damaged from being in my pocket while my swim trunks were wet at the lake. The screen was still working but the phone would randomly restart and the screen would just turn off and on randomly. I take it here because they fixed my screen before no problem when it actually was broken. The employee listens to me tell him about the water damage and observed the water that has built up in the camera lenses of the phone and he sees the screen still turns on before it turns off again. I ask what he can do for water damage and it becomes very clear that all they repair is screens and batteries because he tells me the screen is broken and needs to be replaced. I reply and tell him it still works and it’s clearly something internal from water damage. He then continues to lie and tells me I’m actually wrong and the screen is broken and that he can open up the phone and check it out for $50. I was genuinely shocked that he had the audacity to charge $50 to open my phone and not even repair anything. I told him “yeah no thank you I’ll take it somewhere else” and took it to Best Buy where they ran a free diagnostic and told me my phone needed a $600 repair and that I was better off just buying a new phone. Also, I had taken it to Batteries and Bulbs Plus prior to Best Buy where the guy told me never to go to Mobile-Xpress because they are untrustworthy, use crappy phone parts, and overcharge everyone. Do not take your phone here please they will try and rip you off even if they fix your phone!
