Extremely Disappointed Waste of Time and Money I brought my vehicle into Lpez Auto Repair with two clear issues: an exhaust leak caused by a stripped hole in the flange, and a non-working A/C system for which I had already purchased a new clutch and compressor. I explained everything in detail and was quoted $350 which felt high just for the exhaust issue, but I was willing to go forward because I needed the A/C fixed. Unfortunately, the experience was a complete letdown. For $165, all that was done was the installation of one bolt and the exhaust issue remains unresolved. Instead of repairing the stripped hole as I asked (either by drilling it out or re-threading), I was simply told what I already knew: the flange hole was stripped. Worse yet, the A/C clutch and compressor I provided were never even installed. No progress, no repair just the same diagnosis I had already given them when I dropped the car off. Yet I was still charged. This shop did the bare minimum and charged me for it. I left with the same problems I came in with and $165 lighter. I understand labor costs, but this was not labor. This felt like taking advantage of a customer who was upfront and desperate for working A/C. I won’t be returning, and I can’t recommend this place to anyone looking for honest or thorough automotive service.
