Ian looked at my grandfather clock (designed and built by my own personal grandfather c. 60 years ago) and immediately diagnosed the problem. He had the replacement part on hand and was able to fix it in less than an hour. It's keeping time and chiming beautifully!

We left my mother's 1960 farm clock off here about seven years ago. When we called a couple of times, the story was they were waiting for parts. After Covid and moving out of state, obviously we've given up. It would have been acceptable to have us simply pick up the clock if no repairs were done. This wasn't a kind way to treat someone else's family heirloom.

I called Ian at London Chime to look at our very old grandfather clock, which was not chiming properly. He responded very quickly and punctually. The clock's movement was a German one that needed replacement. We had him look at our grandmother's clock, which was also very old. It also needed a new movement of the same German type. This was 25 Mar 25. He finally received the movements from Germany at the end of May. He immediately set up a time to install and calibrate the movements. The clocks are now working perfectly. Ian is very knowledgeable and precise about his work. I strongly recommend him for any clockwork.

Ian is very knowledgeable and skilled. My grandpa made the clock by hand 40 years ago and it is treasured by my family, I felt 100% comfortable trusting Ian and he surpassed my expectations. He overhauled the original German mechanism which had been sitting covered in dust for years. It is now chiming perfectly. Communication was timely. Highly recommend!
