John's Automotive Repair Shop

I can't say enough good things about John from John's Automotive Repair Shop. I was traveling alone and my car died at the halfway point to my destination. I was quickly getting to the point of frustration trying to find someone, anyone, that would answer their phone and could get me in. The road assistance got in touch with John's when I asked for a recommendation of where to go that would try to fit me in, was honest, and not take advantage of my situation. The shop was about to close (on a Thursday night), but he still worked to get my part ordered before close and let me know he would be in touch. My car was towed and I got a room for the night. Not only did John work on my car first thing in the morning, but he was great at keeping in touch on how things were going. He also did me the great favor of picking me up at the hotel when my car was done, even though that isn't really a part of the services provided. John recommended future services I needed to get my car in for when I get home. He could have been "one of those shops" and added them on while my car was at his shop and take an out-of-towner for their last nickel, but he didn't. The problems do need adressing, but I was told they weren't dire at the time. Not only that, but he also gave me a discount on my bill, enabling me to continue on my trip instead of heading back home. I can not say enough how lucky I was to have been directed to his shop. If I ever have the misfortune of needing help in the area again, John's Automotive Repair Shop will be the ONLY call I make.

After being turned away by half a dozen other mechanics to get a heating control valve replaced in thr dead of winter (I have a hybrid, I understand), John didn't hesitate to get me in. He was up front about how long everything would take and gave a realistic estimate for cost. Only hiccup was dropping it off. His other mechanic didn't show that day so he wasn't able to get to me as soon as planned, but talked me through my options and made it so I left feeling reassured rather than frustrated. I'd recommend John's if you're in a bind, he's willing to go the extra mile.
