He explained everything in detail, answered all my questions, and made sure I felt confident throughout the entire process. The crew was efficient, respectful, and very detail-oriented. They arrived on time, worked hard, and kept the job site clean each day. The craftsmanship is outstanding—my new roof looks fantastic and is truly built to last. I just had JD Gates install a new deck for me and I can't be happier! The whole experience was wonderful. Wes came out to provide an estimate and I heard back from him with total costs within 3 days (no being ghosted!). His crew worked closely with the county to get permits (which were unfortunately delayed by over a year due to a septic issue). Wes and his office stayed on top of everything and closely communicated with me. When we were cleared for construction, his office manager, Stephanie, made sure I knew exactly what to expect and always promptly followed up with me regarding any changes. If I needed to talk to someone, I could always get in touch with Stephanie or Wes through phone or email. The guys who built the deck were polite and friendly and did amazing work! They were so careful and there paid extremely close attention to detail. I offered to recycle their cardboard materials and they said there was no need because they always recycle these (this was important to me). Also, I swear they built this deck to withstand a herd of elephants--the county inspector claimed, "This is exceptional and well-above code--it will last forever". I can't be happier with my new deck! Now we just need some warm weather.

Gates has done over 5 projects so far in our house since we moved in 2 years ago. From replacing old/odd style windows in my detached garage, to my exterior and interior doors, every job was timely and handled professionally. I had a few companies not even show up or call back since the quarantine Gates was the only one to get the job done. They just finished replacing 5 old basement windows and made my house look great!
