Imagine you are getting your car repaired and the mechanic will not give you a breakdown of parts and labor, just a fixed cost? It would not be unreasonable to think that this was either dishonest, or in the least not transparent. A part of my furnace needed replaced. I asked how much the parts and labor were and was told that it is just a fixed cost for this repair and that’s just the way it was, no further explanation. I have no idea how much the part cost, but it took 15 minutes to replace. My best guess is between 3-500$ labor for 15min of work, low level of difficulty, but what was I supposed to do, it’s winter and I needed my heat fixed. I have worked with this company before and I would not hesitate to use them again, the people have always been polite and aside from this experience have been transparent in terms of repairs. However, I do not know why it has to be so secretive and that I would not be told what the breakdown in parts and labor is. If this is an industry standard, it may be normal, but isn’t transparent, and does not make the consumer feel anything other than taken advantage of. My repair was done same day, I am glad that it was able to be fixed, but I was charged too much labor. Just because it might be the market price for a particular repair doesn’t make it fair. Despite how polite the service technician was, they needed to do a better job of explaining why the price was the price, and have justified clear criteria to determine price

The Hoveln Heating Cooling and Plumbing business has been our choice for many years. They provide excellent service and have a well trained staff. Our furnace went out and Chris the technician that came to our rescue had amazing knowledge. We have a heat pump with an exchange unit in the crawl space for auxiliary heat. Chris found the blower unit not working and it would need ordered. His quick work with the office got a replacement in 1day. We have a maintenance agreement with Hoveln's that saved us over $300. I would strongly suggest all customers of Hoveln's to consider purchasing the yearly contract. Thank You Hoveln Family for your great service.

We just had Hoveln replace our HVAC system last week and Hoveln was amazing to work with throughout the entire process! Brant was very patient at answering our questions about what would be best for our house and budget. He gave us estimates including options for tax credits or other rebates (which was extremely helpful) and laid out all of the different options, costs, etc. in a very useful format (price wise...they were more reasonable than other bigger companies in CU). Install went super smoothly with the Hoveln team as well. Everyone was very nice and they walked us through the new thermostat - making sure we understood how it worked and how to adjust it for our system. I couldn't be happier and would highly recommend Hoveln!!
