Handyman in Chapel Hill

Required $175 to take pictures of the work needed and then ghosted me. After repeated hassling from me to provide an estimate, he eventually referred me to a completely different handyman who is coming out to redo the assessment.- none of the pictures were shared or anything. The new handyman offered to credit me $175 fee after I asked about it. It looks like his business model is to charge you the fee upfront and then refer you to an actual handyman. Also at least one of the 5 star reviews is from this “handyman” himself, Jerry Elliott 👀. I realize he might take his review down after my post but 0/10 Do NOT recommend this referral scam.

Amazing customer service! Handyman Installed my new garbage disposal during my kitchen renovation. Next day, garbage disposal making the most loud sound...I called Handyman about loud sound...Owner listened on my cell phone. He felt it very odd, came out himself to assess same day...he was so perplexed at how loud new disposal was. Low and behold, very small rubber attachments from new sink grate had gotten lodged. Handyman returned my garbage disposal to a new machine! I can't believe the integrity! We will be a lifetime customer!
