On January 10, 2026 I placed a server call because the lift mechanism on my lift chair stopped working. A technician came out promptly and said I needed a new computer box and he would order it and come back and fix the chair. He came back in February with the part, but it was the wrong part. He said he would have the new part ordered and be back in a couple of weeks. I got a call early this week and was told the repairman will be back on March 7 with the right part to repair my chair.I just got a call today, March 7 thinking it was the repair man calling to tell me what time he would be out. Instead, it was the service department at the store, calling to tell me that when the service technician came to pick up the part today, it was still the wrong part so now the new part has to be ordered and it’ll still be a couple of weeks before anyone fixes my chair. He said there had been a lack of communication between him and the technician and he ordered the wrong part. When the technician came back last time, letting him know, it was the wrong part, the right part never got ordered. I’ve now been without a chair since January 10. This is a lift chair because I have a disability and I’ve had very difficult time getting in and out of my chair over the past two months. These lift chairs are very expensive, and I paid for the gold service, but I’m definitely getting the tin service. After speaking with this gentleman on the phone for several minutes, expressing my frustration, he became super defensive, finally offered to bring out a lift chair to borrow when I asked him if there’s nothing else he can do. I declined this because that’d be more people in and out of my house for a chair that may or may not work any better than mine is right now.I told him I expect to be the first person to have a repair done when the part does come in. He did agree that would be the case. When I told him I would be giving a Google review, he became very defensively again said make sure you tell him the entire truth and that I offered to loan you a chair. I ended up hanging up on him. Don’t think you will get Gold service when you spend thousands on a lift chair. You will get mediocre service with an attitude. I suggest you get your lift chair somewhere else if you want the service on your chair to actually be Gold star service. This service department doesn’t even communicate well with one another.
