Glass Doctor of Lexington

Had Glass Doctor of Lexington out initially to replace an old rickety shower door combo. Unfortunately we quickly found out the shower needed a complete rebuild because of serious leaking issues. They held off on the original order and waited for the new shower to be constructed. While the new glass was more expensive than the original request, they worked with us to come up with a very reasonable solution. We could not be happier with the end results or the courtesy and professionalism of the entire crew. Special shout outs to Eric for his excellent solution and to Manuel and Jose for the stunning install.

Had the insulated, double-pane glass with grid inserts, in five windows replaced (one high-ceiling bay window, one upstairs top window, three downstairs bottom windows) and four torn window screens repaired. Brandon, Manny, and an apprentice (whose name, unfortunately, escapes me) showed up on schedule and wrapped up the windows within 2.5 hours on a frigid morning. They had to take the screens back for repair as they did not have the needed rubber gaskets (?) in stock. Manny returned with the screens the following week (at my request; they were actually ready the next day). All three individuals were unfailingly polite, friendly, and professional in their dealings with me. They moved furniture about as needed and cleaned up after themselves. PS: I had an arch window shade (purchased at Amazon) that I needed glued at the top of the high bay window. Manny cut it to size and installed it although it was not part of my contract. I paid the crew a small token of gratitude for the work done and their kindness. All-in-all, I was pleased with the experience and look forward to hiring Glass Doctor of Lexington for my future glass needs (they do a variety of glass work (eg, shower, auto) besides windows). Highly recommend.

I hired The Glass Doctor of Lexington to remove 3 huge outdated mirrors from our master bathroom. The 2 employees were both very professional and knowledgeable when carefully removing all 3 mirrors from the wall surrounding our Whirlpool tub. I really was impressed by the technique they had used in removing them from the wall. The process is very dangerous and fortunately there were no injuries. I appreciate all your expertise and will always recommend you to my neighbors. THANK YOU.

I have an insulated leaded glass transom, oval leaded glass cutout in door, and two leaded glass side panels. It is a beautiful door set but the insulated properties failed on all four units. The windows became foggy, watermarked, and streaked inside. A replacement (in big box stores) ran $7000-$9000. I called distributors & craftsmen until I was blue in the face. No one wanted to repair the set…they endorsed a full (substandard) replacement. I contacted The Glass Doctor. I got an in-home problem diagnosis (very knowledgeable), options for remedy, and full documentation was made for them to prepare a solid bid. This was followed by a clearly written proposal giving options, and a reasonable date of execution. They arrived, removed all four units, removed the leaded glass from the interior of the failed windows… then placed single glass panes in the empty house frames to protect my home while they worked on the windows offsite. My leaded glass full inserts were taken to their shop… new insulated windows were made there & my leaded glass was placed inside. All units were brought to my home, installed, sealed, and carry a full warranty. The installers were very professional, courteous, and detail-oriented. They did an outstanding job. I saved more than half the cost…I kept my superior leaded glass inserts, and my front entry is now drop dead gorgeous! I highly recommend their services!!!
