Gateway Auto Tech is a great business! We had our vehicle in for a minor repair, which turned into a much bigger issue. They were on it immediately and gave it their full attention. Then when it came to the bill, they were extremely fair and just. We will use them again and would happily recommend them.
One of the worst places I have come to in Grand Forks. They took advantage of me with the price/parts that we had agreed to get fixed. They lied about me agreeing to that certain part of my truck to be fixed overcharged for brakes/disc 721 dollars and did not even fix my oil leak when that was the whole point of me going there to fix that. I just hope this doesn't happen to young girls my age. I’m 20 and I’m Mexican and I don’t know if that’s the reason why I got taken advantage of besides the point. Do research, people. So far, my truck is working but miscommunication was a big factor and unprofessionalism was also . I had to pay that fee of 21 dollars aside from the 700 and that man got passive-aggressive with me and hung up on me. I called back but I got no answer. Also, I had brought my own parts as well: my oil/filter and brake pads for the front brakes so I was overcharged for parts. I definitely do not recommend this place. WOULD NEVER COME BACK.
I came in an hour before they closed today with the exhaust almost falling off of my 2011 Impala. I'm in college hours from home with no knowledge about cars or what to do, my car wasn't drivable and no where else around town could get me in for at least two weeks. I just pulled up to see if they could take a look at it even and they came out, took a look at it and brought it in for a temporary fix but ended up fixing the entire thing right then and there for a very reasonable price along with giving me a student discount. Super nice guys.
