I have sent PLENTY OF PROOF THAT I WAS BACK AND FORTH WITH GEORGE BEFORE HE SOLD OUT A COMPANY THAT HE OBVIOUSLY WASN'T IN ANY WAY... Husband has called I have EMAILED George numerous times!!! **** Update**** Still NO viable contact to resolve or even investigate anything!! I have sent PLENTY OF PROOF THAT I WAS BACK AND FORTH WITH GEORGE BEFORE HE SOLD OUT A COMPANY THAT HE OBVIOUSLY WASN'T IN ANY WAY AVAILABLE AS A PROPER FOREMAN OWNER OR OVERSEER OF THE SHODDY WORK THAT WAS BEING DONE. And YES all of this was from 2018 which was explained in detail to NEW owners that We had additional child 2019 and 2021 along with COVID shutting down husbands job for most of 2020. So saving up to get new roof and gutters and fork out an additional 7k/10k just for that to not 'fix the issue'. ***UPDATE*** and new photos. Still doesn't seem to care. Even his Project Managers and himself admits things we're done wrong. He even offered to reimburse partially (never ACTUALLY REIMBURSED A DIME!!) the WEEK BEFORE OUR WALL FELL. Dragged and dragged and dragged and due to rain after rain for 2 months front basement wall fell. Thank God we we're able to get down back steps safely me my 8, 5 and 3 yr old!!! NOW will not answer back or respond to anything. Our house was paid for right before we took out the loan for 'these repairs' and they have been excruciating this entire time. IF they had admitted from the get-go that they couldn't do the repair we could've tried elsewhere instead they took the job, I HAVE DOCUMENTATION OF THE initial start charge of $2,781.00 AND the $12,154.00. Total being $14,935.00. Now we are stuck with all our belongings in the home, my babies praying this was all just a dream. Constant lack of sleep at night for both my husband and I not knowing if we're going to lose vehicles JUST trying to keep a roof over our babies heads.
*** UPDATE Dec 2021 *** It took some time but the owner, Jonathan, of Foundation Worx was able to get me in touch with his company’s liability team and reimburse me for the unfortunate damages caused by one of their contractors used for the leveling of basement flooring. The owner and I both came to an understanding that a legal battle isn’t the way to go about resolving the issue. Jonathan was able to listen to my side of the story and was willing to resolve the problem while still promising and honoring the initial agreement terms for warranty and craftsmanship guarantee. The owner and I both came to an understanding that a legal battle isn’t the way to go about resolving the issue. Jonathan was able to listen to my side of the story and was willing to resolve the problem while still promising and honoring the initial agreement terms for warranty and craftsmanship guarantee. I would recommend them as a company to work with after the correspondence and appropriate due diligence for gaining customer satisfaction. *** Original review *** Hired Foundation Worx for a foundation repair. The repair crew was great to deal with but the owner, Jonathan, has been very unresponsive after things took a BAD turn. The repair involved high pressure foam injection under the basement slab along with structural piers for the load bearing. There were several hiccups with communication when it came down to the piers because they drilled more holes than needed and then charged me for their mistakes. They even damaged the vinyl flooring which cost me an additional $1400 to repair (see pictures). The devastating part of the repair was the foam injection where they injected several pounds of urethane structural foam to fill the voids and lift the slab in a specific area of the basement. In the process, they injected my MAIN sewer line for the property which resulted in flooding in the basement and NO DRAINAGE for my house (see pictures). There are a few other problems that their repair has caused for which resulted in filing a court case against them hoping to get a litigation compensation. Not only did the company become unresponsive, they even filed a lien on my property for an amount larger than the repair cost itself which is several THOUSANDS of dollars. My attorney originally sent them a COURTESY LETTER to get their attention and start the conversation of fixing the additional damages but they did not respond for months. Then I files a court case for the damages and they are still unresponsive towards me or my attorney. My repair took place late 2020 and I filed a court case in May 2021. BEWARE: I would HIGHLY DISCOURAGE using this company for any services. They come off as knowledgable in the beginning but take ZERO responsibility for any additional damages caused to your property. Which based on my experience (and talking to my realtor friends who hear company reviews), happens a lot. 0 / 5 starts if possible.
We chose Foundation Worx to construct a retaining wall and install several support columns in the crawl space of our new home, following the recommendations of a third-party structural engineer. The project, completed in 2021, was handled with efficiency and precision. Alex and his crew demonstrated exceptional skill and professionalism, ensuring the work was done both promptly and to the highest standard. Beyond their outstanding workmanship, we were impressed by their competitive pricing, punctuality, and the exceptional customer service provided by Brian, whose expertise was invaluable. It was also a pleasure to support a local Georgia company, led by a Georgia Tech graduate, that upholds integrity and excellence in its work. Most recently, in March 2024, Alex returned to inspect and adjust our support beams as needed due to natural settlement, ensuring our warranty remains intact. A special thank you to Diane for seamlessly coordinating the appointment and to Alex for his punctuality, clear communication, and courteous service. We are confident we made the right choice with Foundation Worx and highly recommend them.
This company is horrible. Do not give them your money. Do not let them touch your house. All those great 5-star reviews from several years ago were under the company’s previous owner. The job was done incorrectly, creating a large bulge in our bedroom floor and causing substantial drywall damage. I emailed Brian immediately and received no response. After calling the company a couple times, they finally sent out a salesman who doubled down on the improper repair and claimed there was no need to make any adjustments or corrections. We hired a structural engineer who confirmed the job didn’t resolve our hallway issue and actually made it worse. We sent a Right To Repair letter certified mail to Brian, which he was supposed to respond to within 30 days. Brian did not respond. After waiting over seven weeks for a response that never came, I emailed Brian again and asked for a refund, as our house experienced significant further damage while we were jumping through these hoops trying to get a resolution from Foundation Worx. Brian finally responded but only offered to repair their project, 6+ months after they broke our house. This repair should have been offered to us immediately. As we could not trust Foundation Worx to repair our home properly or in a timely manner, we paid another company to do it. I requested a refund from Brian multiple times and this request was ignored. Save yourself the nightmare we went through and hire another company.
Brian took a technical and solutions based approach for my property when assessing foundation repairs required. I am still in process of reviewing estimates and plan proposals, however was impressed with his knowledge base, transparency and delicate considerations when dealing with a 100 year old structure.
