⭐ One-Star Review for Foundation Builders Incorporated (FBI) I’m giving Foundation Builders Inc. a one-star review—not because they’re a terrible company, but because people need to be cautious. In my experience, they’ve generally been solid to work with—easily a 3.5 to 4-star company under normal circumstances. We’ve collaborated with them before and never had much negative to say. However, a recent situation raises serious concerns. We were subcontracted by another company to supply the caissons that was allegedly doing work for FBI. After we completed our part of the job, we reached out to clarify payment. A woman in the FBI office informed us that we should not be contacting them at all regarding payment because we were not directly hired by FBI - even had a pretty nasty cocky attitude. The problem? The company that subcontracted us has not paid us. That means someone is getting work done under the Foundation Builders name while failing to pay the actual contractors doing the labor. And FBI has apparently washed their hands of it. I have not reached out to FBI because of the initial attitude. So this is a cautionary review: even if FBI does good work, watch out—there may be third-party companies using their name to get caisson jobs done and leaving subs like us unpaid. Make sure everything is transparent and locked down before accepting a job connected to them. Contractors beware.
