Fiscor did a great job. Justin was wonderful. He really helped me understand what was going on with my unit offered wonderful suggestions and got me set up on a good ongoing maintenance plan. I like that they do both HVAC and plumbing and seem to really care.
Fiscor employees are real pros! Every office staff member was very courteous, knowledgeable, professional, helpful in getting my concerns handled quickly. My 1st experience with them was when I came home one day to an extreme negative-air-flow problem going on in my house. I had no idea what had happened, but it was so strong that when opening a door to go in from the garage, the door was sucked out of my hand! Also, it sounded like a strong leaf blower was outside, but that was the air being sucked in through the narrow space between the two doors of my sliding glass door! Air was being sucked out of the wall through the wall plugs and light switches! This was 3:30 p.m. on a Friday. The 1st company I called said they could get to me THE FOLLOWING TUESDAY! I called Fiscor. They sent a fantastic tech, Carlos, to my house WITHIN AN HOUR! He quickly diagnosed the problem, that my whole-house fan (used in hot weather to suck hot air out of the house, and cooler air in) had somehow clicked on to super HIGH. Carlos got it turned off, checked the controls, and remedied the horrid situation quickly. Then, on Sunday, January 18th, I woke up to NO HEAT. I called Fiscor, telling them that my furnace was not running, and it was about 59° in my house. Even though they had an extremely busy day on Monday, I was put on "emergency" status, and service tech Carlos was at my house very early Monday! After checking my almost end-of-life system, he gave me prices for parts that had failed, and also a second price for the failed parts plus 3 other parts that would soon need replaced. Big money considering the age of the system that may need replaced in the near future anyway. I asked about replacing everything. Carlos contacted the office, who gave him the info to work up prices on 3 different systems available. He spent at a couple hours explaining each system, answering all my questions to my satisfaction. I decided replacing the entire system was more feasible for me. Carlos assured me that I would have a new system heating my house that evening, since I had no heat whatsoever! The installers, Robert and Deondre, arrived shortly after 3 p.m., after having completed two other installs! They worked throughout the remainder of that day, they didnt leave until 11:45 that night, and I had heat! They needed to come back the next morning to finish up a few details, and to clean up. Even though they'd worked so hard, and so late Monday, they arrived shortly after 7 a.m. Tuesday to finish up! Thank you to office staff Halee, Wendy, Tabitha, Melanie and anyone who assisted in getting this handled. Jason, Field Service Manager, also stopped in to check that I was satisfied. Thank you, FISCOR, for your excellent service!
The furnace in our home went down and of course that week the temps we in the teens. I called Fiscor and they set up an appointment the very next day to trouble shoot the system. Justin, our tech, was very helpful and he determined that due to the system being almost 25 years old that it was at the end of life, parts could no longer be acquired and was potentially dangerous due to a few cracks that could leak CO2, which can be common with older systems. He helped us choose a replacement system and it was installed the very next day!
Sergio and Blane then came out and had it installed no time! Two great guys and very professional! Even cleaned up after themselves.
The system works great. Much better than the original furnace ever did. I was very impressed and I highly recommend Fiscor and we will definitely be using them in the future.
I had already scheduled Fiscor to come out for an A/C system check, but the day before their appointment, another local Anthem company—Five Star Air—was able to arrive earlier. I had ordered replacement capacitors after doing my own testing, and the parts arrived just in time for Five Star’s visit. Since this was June 2025 and A/C companies were slammed at the start of summer, I wanted to make sure someone could get here quickly.
Five Star performed a full system check and confirmed everything was working properly. I also signed up for their maintenance plan ($13/month for two annual checkups), which gave me peace of mind moving forward.
Unfortunately, it seems the cancellation message didn’t reach Fiscor in time, and their technician still showed up the next morning. I apologized for the mix-up, but he was incredibly professional, courteous, and willing to help anyway. He answered all my questions thoroughly and confirmed the same findings as the Five Star tech the day before. He even offered to inspect the system since he was already there and validated the capacitor replacements I had done myself.
During my own inspection, I had discovered a burnt wire connectiona yellow wireto Lrg Cap.)that had disconnected one of the capacitors. This caused the larger capacitor to short, even though I had replaced both as a matched pair. I kept the smaller, still-functional one as a backup. The issue wasn’t immediately visible—the damaged wire was hidden behind the electrical board connector and was part of the original factory wiring. I replaced it with a more robust wire(the green solid copper wire, it's what I had), soldered the connection properly the night before, and used the correct wire terminal to ensure stability. Not knowing g issue when I had ordered capacitors, I probably would have only ordered one but I did order a couple and the last picture is just a picture from a video, but I did order a turbo 200 capacitor that is a general multi-voltage measured in micro-farads for most A/C systems as a backup to replace both of my capacitors as a all-in-one capacitor for $100. There are YouTube videos that speak of this "Turbo 200 capacitor" if you want to check it out at YouTube, just search for Turbo 200 AC capacitor and how to connect and most videos will explain it.
Anyway, since completing the repair and restoring the capacitor connection, the A/C system has been running smoothly. This DIY fix likely saved us around $400 in service costs. The HVAC MAINTENANCE purchase was through Five-Star Air but Fiscor says they have a similar maintenance plan with an excellent warranty also.
Fiscor also offers a maintenance plan similar to Five Star’s. Honestly, if they had arrived first, I probably would’ve gone with them. Both companies seem trustworthy, and neither gave me the runaround like some contractors I’ve dealt with in the past. Fiscor’s technician didn’t have to stay and help, but he did—and that speaks volumes about their service. If I ever need emergency A/C support in the future, I wouldn’t hesitate to call Fiscor
I had some issues at my rental and need a great hvac company to come look at my air conditioner. I called Fiscor because they are a family company. The technician kept me informed on what he was doing and after a deep cleaning (it’s been a few years) it was found that my system a low of refrigerant. I was given a couple different repairs options. With the systems I have being 14 years old I chose to replace both of them because I don’t want any issues in the future. I was pressed for time as I had guest coming in 2 days for a week. The next day they got both systems installed. I got new thermostats that I can see and control from 1500 miles away and can let you know there is a problem. So the best part about this whole experience was when I sent my cleaners back in before the guest arrive they told me it was just like they left it and they could not tell that work was preformed on my property. They definitely take pride in their work and care for your property. I would highly recommend Fiscor and will use them again on my other property’s.
