Express Appliance Repair

Curtis came out to look at our refrigerator that had stopped working, (only had it for a few years, did not have the five year warranty however, ) so called him Tuesday of 4th of July week. He even put his next client on hold because our food was spoiling, which was very nice. He said it was a defrost problem, so we took a day to defrost it then to turn it back on, before he left that first day I said if it’s not a defrost problem, can I call you back, he said yes no extra charge. Unfortunately, it was not a defrost problem but he did come back over on Saturday, (Friday was 4th of July) diagnosed the problem and on Monday it was fixed. Yay. I am not happy with how long it took, but again considering it was Fourth of July weekend I was grateful for his time and that he was in town to help. He was always courteous and kind, even had dog biscuits for our two little dogs. Very thoughtful! Hopefully, we will not need appliance help again but if we do, he was helpful and got the job done.

I called for service on a washing machine. I tried to find independently owned, but was this a mistake. Curtis is a nice man but he doesn’t know how to diagnose a repair on a washer. He took video and pictures of the problem I was having and sent it over to someone to ask what they think the problem is. Now mind you, I initially asked when I called if he keeps parts on him for repairs as I didn’t want to wait another few days and he quickly responded he had parts for my brand. When he arrived and guessed on what the problem was he still did not have parts to try and repair it. I believe what another reviewer posted is true. It’s a scam to collect a diagnostic fee and he doesn’t do any work. He claimed he could come back after ordering parts and do the job for an additional $170. Again, he didn’t know if that was the problem. Our washer has computerized parts and he didn’t know how to run the diagnostics on it to see if it gave him any error messages. Big mistake and waste of $75 to not solve anything.

Curtis was very nice but I honestly think this is a scam he was the cheapest but you tell me I don’t need a compressor you say I needed 2 valves you come with the wrong ones then when you get here you say it can’t be fixed after 2 hours now saying I need a compressor! Waste of time now I have to get a new refrigerator which I would have did yesterday had I got the right diagnosis! 75 dollars for what you probably not even a tech! Watch out I don’t care how many good reviews he has this just not right
