The owner was cool but when o went back to pickup my shoes, there was a lady. I was disappointed he wasn’t there because he was cool to chat with but the lady was a meanny…. Maybe she is his significant other and thought I was trying to hit on him… NOT! Just a cool older guy sharing wisdom

I've had issues with this business in the past, but a time of positive experiences led me to change my review to 5 stars. However, I am now changing my review to 1 star. This was not initially my normal cobbler. I began going here because its closer and more convenient. Well, I recently took some other shoes, last serviced with taps by Evans, to my preferred cobbler and he noted that the tap nails were large. Fast forward, I looked at one of my boots that I recently had new taps, replaced from Evans Shoe Repair, and both of my heels have vertical splits in them originating from the area of the nail in the heel. I'll take my shoes to my preferred cobbler for this fix, which I'm sure won't be cheap, and won't go back to Evans no matter how convenient. At least I know it will be fixed correctly and their work will not require expensive and additional repairs. After issues that I previously moved past, it's just not worth going here.
Excellent service. Fair prices. Pleasant demeanor. Had a pair of shoes in severe need of repair. Was leaving town the next day and was in a rush. He did a complete resole and made them look like brand new for me in less than 3 hours. I have worked with many cobblers in the past 30 years. Good craftsmanship. Will definitely go back.
