I have used this mechanic for years and will continue to do so for as long as I live in this city. As a young woman I often struggle to find a good mechanic that I can trust to do the job right the first time without any nonsense. This company has never let me down. They are fantastic to work with and genuinely do a wonderful job each time I have any issue with my vehicle. They respond quickly to any issues and never turn down last minute requests. I have taken family and friends to their shop and they have received the same quality of care that I did. I wish more mechanic shops were like this! I can't wait to get a new car and have their shop evaluate it!

This place truly is a joke. I went to AutoZone and THEY suggested that instead of continuing to go to him, I should instead go to Chuck at Southern Utah Car Care. That was one of the best decisions ever. Ernesto was very dishonest and overpriced. When we came in to him, we bought a brand new part and simply asked for him to put it on, but then when he put it on things started malfunctioning and not working worse than before. When I brought it back to him, he said “you brought me the part instead of letting me do a diagnostic so I have to do a diagnostic if you want anything done” and took zero ownership of it literally being WORSE now. It was literally a brand new part and we use a car diagnostic scanner that tells us exactly what was wrong with the car. I just don’t have all of the tools to do it. So we went to Southern Utah Car Care instead, and he fixed everything up perfectly, removed the part Ernesto put in and I returned it to autozone, then Chuck even did a free diagnostic since it was something he could tell by just a conversation and looking under our hood, and our car has been great ever since. Ernesto seems to take advantage of people, and takes their money when he has no intention of doing something. So watch out if you don’t know cars well, or if you’re a woman. He doesn’t respect women, in my experience with my visits there. He ruined my mother-in-law’s car by claiming to have changed the oil, yet when they went to the BMW dealership in Saint George, the internal record of the car says the oil hasn’t been changed in literally 3 years. Which is how long they’ve been taking it to Ernesto for oil changes. Horrible, horrible experience. I told them to go to Southern Utah Car Care as well and now they do. If you are reading this, just know that he will ask very few questions, take your money and you likely won’t get a refund if/when it goes bad. He does not have your interest in mind. It is also difficult, because I don’t even know if he understands me half the time. Sometimes he seems to speak great English, and other times he seems to look at me as if he doesn’t understand. I don’t know if it’s a convenient language barrier he uses at times, or if he’s just being quiet. Either way, save yourself the trouble and don’t go here.

Do not take your car here! Ernesto is the most dishonest, crooked mechanic I have ever known. I watched an encounter where someone’s truck was hit, and he treated the man with such disrespect. It made me weary about taking my car here and I stopped. Then, I told my family to not take their car here and my mom had been taking her BMW to him for the past three years. She just took her BMW into a dealer because it’s been having problems and Ernesto has been taking their money and never changing their oil for the past three years. It’s on record. My mom‘s BMW mini Cooper’s engine is nearly destroyed because of him. I repeat, do not take your car to this man! He will take your money and ruin your car. Dishonest and crooked.
