Elegant Floor Services

I contracted with Elegant Floor Services to repair and refinishing my hardwood floors. They did very poor work and I had to have them come back to correct the work and after they came to fix the repair, my Floor, the repair area began to come apart and they refused to even come back to look at the defective work. I contacted my credit card company to dispute the charges and Elegant Floor Services lied to the investigator. I would never use them again and I advise anyone not to trust or use Elegant Floor Services.

Poor work, very little to no follow up. We had our oak floors refinished in October and everything up until work started was fine. During the finishing process, corners were cut, things were rushed, and the final product is very nearly a hack job. I’m not a perfectionist, not even close, but the finish sanding, and especially the edging job was horrible. Countless edging swirls that weren’t sanded out, depressions in the floor from over sanding with the edger, chatter marks from loose sanding paper on the drum, lines of different color stain where a section was left to dry without finishing the remainder of the room, stairs that looked like they were sanded by someone who was using our house to practice, and poor work or no follow up to fix issues. I’m left with floors that have been “re-finished”, but more damaged in many spots than I started with. After asking for someone to come by and look at the issue, a project manager came over, said “yup, this is a problem, I’ll need to chat with my boss”, and then proceeded to ghost me. I’ve written back multiple times trying to get this resolved and have not received a response. I guess the old adage of “you get what you pay for” is quite true in this case. Buyer beware.
