I’m so excited about my new favorite paint!! Seriously, people who know me, know that I’ve painted A LOT of things!! When deciding on the paint for my latest project, I searched for something new because I was tired of the “chalky finish” look. I’ve heard that Benjamin Moore’s Advanced paint was really good on cabinets, so I thought that it might be good on the desk and credenza that I was painting. What first impressed me was that I wasn’t limited to certain colors. I decided on the color November Rain. The other thing I liked was that Dishman sells denatured alcohol (for a few bucks). I didn’t prep my piece at all. All I did was wipe if first with the alcohol right before painting it. I painted the desk and credenza with three coats of paint and still had a ton of paint leftover….so i painted another desk, three chairs, a picture frame…..and then another desk. I cannot believe how far this paint went! The pieces look gorgeous. They are holding up great. I am already thinking about what I want to paint next! I will not miss the days of spending $35 on a quart of chalk paint!
