I must admit that my experience with Discount Appliance Service in Shelton was absolutely pleasant! I called & made an appointment with Jim. Because of the snow storm coming, he came out a day or two later & fixed my whirlpool dryer in literally 15 minutes! He was very knowledgeable of what he had to fix. I would most definitely come back for future services & the prices are UNBEATABLE. Thanks again JIM. You are the man!!!
A big thank you to Jim Who traveled from Shelton to West Haven to fix my neighbor’s dryer. I gave him a call after finding him on Google, he agreed to come out with a quickness . in fear, we were going to have to buy a new dryer, Jim came out fixed it within a half hour & was quite affordable . He is professional, honest & was equipped with the parts to fix the dryer on the spot. Jim has calm , easy going attitude and I recommend him highly .
We used discount appliance today for our oven door! Jim came with in 2 hours and easily solved our problem!! Such a kind man. We will recommend him to all our friends and neighbors.
Discount Appliance came out last year and fixed my oven for a reasonable price. I meant to write a 10/10 would-use-them-again review but never got around to it. Here we are a year later, and my freezer kicked the bucket. We did some troubleshooting and couldn't figure it out, so we called Discount Appliance again. The guy was great. My husband walked him through the steps he took to troubleshoot, and long story long, they are not sending a tech. The freezer is shot. I appreciate their honesty. I know other places would send a guy out anyway just to make a few bucks. It's rare to find this kind of business. Discount Appliance is a true gem and has my trust. If I ever need this service again they will be my first call!
I was able to get an appointment very quickly (so that standing water didn’t start to stink). Both father and son business owners were incredibly friendly, professional, skillful — they even got along with our dog. I had not compared prices but their fee did not seem unreasonable. We’ll definitely call them again!
