Dave did an excellent job re-gluing and tightening up our oak dining room chair, and he was fast—I got my chair back the next day! Although one chair by itself may not seem to have a lot of value, its value lies in being part of a set, along with 3 other chairs and a table. It is so worthwhile to repair otherwise good furniture rather than buying all new! Maybe it should be the “4 Rs” rather than the “3 Rs”—reduce, reuse, recycle and REPAIR!
Dave repaired our antique recliner that was built in 1929. The seat needed some stabilizing and a wooden piece had come detached that Dave glued. The recliner is very unique. It has a button on one of the arms that you push for the back to recline. Excellent work Dave!!! Much appreciated!!
Dave repaired three pieces for me and did an excellent job on all three. He is a craftsman. He did the work quickly and exceeded our expectations. I would definitely recommend him for any of your woodworking repair projects.
We bought an antique oak hutch that was mostly in good shape, but it needed some repairs to the top half. We took it to Dave and he did an excellent job - repaired a hole in the back, cut and fit old wavy glass for one of the doors, and replaced the crown molding on the top with very authentic looking old oak trim. We are very happy with the results, and the price was reasonable. He was also very accommodating with drop-off and pick-up times. If we need furniture repaired in the future, we won't hesitate to call Dave!
Dave repaired four old cherry dining room chairs that we bought at an estate sale. After about a year and a half of use, the seat had split on each of them. Two of them had gotten bad enough that we were worried about the safety of any guest that might sit in them. Dave did an excellent job repairing them. In fact, I am sitting in one now as I type this review. He is a friendly and disarming man, and I was very happy to give him my business. We had a great time talking with him, and he repaired the chairs very well, very quickly, and at a more than reasonable price!
