Excellent service. The woman who helped us with paint product selection had a WEALTH of knowledge and experience to share - we drove 30 minutes to come here specifically because she was so helpful over the phone (and then in person). Truly a gem!
Great hardware store. Friendly and helpful. Soooo much more convenient than a big box store. Park right there by the door, warm greeting and guidance and quick checkout. A refreshing relief from the big box stores now understaffed and understocked. Huge selection of Carhart clothing. Bought a great flannel shirt today.
Superb service. I am visiting the East Coast in our RV, staying in this area for 7 weeks. I have many DIY projects going and have visited this hardware store more than numerous times for parts and advice. Every single person I have encountered has been extremely helpful, knowledgeable, and pleasant. I could not have completed my projects without their assistance.
Came for knowledgeable help, didn't get any. I needed to get my lawnmower prepped for the season, and hadn't changed the oil or spark plug on it before, so I figured a local hardware store would have some good advice. I was wrong. Instead I got a teenager who handed me a can labeled "4 cycle FUEL", with "FUEL" in letters 2 inches tall, when I asked for 4-cycle oil. He was confused when I corrected him. The kid also couldn't tell me which of his Champion brand spark plugs was similar to the old Briggs and Stratton one I brought in, something that I was able to figure out with a 10 second Google. Very disappointed. Next time I'll go to a big box store.
They have a wide selection of nuts and bolts!! Home Depot or Lowes (just down the street) have all their small sizes in little plastic bags...uggh so annoying!!! This True Value has tiny sizes, metric, stainless, chrome, and larger diameter that you can pick out and see if it is actually going work on your project. There is also no need to search for someone to (maybe) help you, like at the other stores. Everyone here knows where everything is on all 3 floors!!
