Charlottesville Lawn Care

I requested Charlottesville Lawn Care to do a Spring Clean Up. Additionally, I asked CLC to replace front yard bushes with Hydrangeas, and for the crew to remove two weed (black locust) trees that had grown on the side of the house that could damage the property and its foundation. I agreed to pay more than $2300 to have this done to standard. The crew came out, replaced the mulch around the home, and replaced the bushes in the front yard with hydrangeas. However, the crew did not mow, edge or trim the lawn as I expected with the Spring Clean up. Additionally, the crews did not remove the trees, they simply cut most of each tree down. Unfortunately, this left me with the remaining need to mitigate the risk of the trees either damaging the foundation or home by regrowing. When I brought my concerns to the staff and owner, I was told that removing the trees was beyond the work that CLC was willing/capable to execute. My response was that CLC should not have accepted that portion of the job. Tree roots damage homes, foundations, underground pipes, etc. Again, the trees can grow back--they previously grew from weeds to 2-story trees in less than 3 years. When I asked about the mowing and trim, CLC said that I needed to have scheduled this in addition to a spring clean up. I questioned what a spring clean up should entail because the crew only partially completed what I listed as additions to a spring cleanup. I ask that people and companies do what they say they will do, and take accountability for any shortfalls. I have not been made whole (refund) at the time of this review, but seeking mediation.
