Callier & Thompson Kitchen Bath Appliance

We chose Callier and Thompson for all our renovations. Two second floor bathrooms and our entire first floor including kitchen, powder room, laundry room, wet bar and living room. They were so patient during the design and gently helped guide our decisions throughout the process. The cabinets, appliances, tile work and general workmanship were all exemplary. The process was completed in a professional and timely manner, and we were overjoyed with the results. Fast forward fifteen plus years. We developed a leak in our water wall over Thanksgiving. I called a plumber who determined the approximate location of the leak. He suggested I call the contractor that did the renovations to remove cabinets and cut through dry wall so he could determine exactly what was happening. Thus, on the Friday following Thanksgiving I called Callier and Thompson. After explaining the situation, I was told someone would be out first thing Monday morning. Monday came and so did two men from Callier and Thompson. They gently removed one upper cabinet and exposed the plumbing. They worked in tandem with my plumber and quickly determined the need to remove a wet bar cabinet and cut into the ceiling in both the wet bar and powder room. The plumber was able to get me on the schedule for Thursday and Friday the drywaller from Callier and Thompson came to repair the drywall. By the following Monday the cabinets were back up, with the painter scheduled for Tuesday. Everyone I dealt with during this ordeal was so wonderful. They made me feel like I was priority one! They went to great lengths to be sure the job was completed as quickly as possible and with the least inconvenience. The owners even waived any fees associated with their work, saving me a bundle. Callier and Thompson truly stands by their work! They have your back even years after completing the work. What could have been a horrendous disaster to contend with ended up just being a blip.

I had a challenging request for Callier & Thompson: to replace our Sub-Zero 48 inch refrigerator and Wolf oven/range in a short period of time. Their representative, Matt Gore came out, assessed our situation, noted our requirements and started the process to get that accomplished. Matt followed up frequently to make sure everything was on schedule and we were satisfied with what was happening. He went out of his way during a very difficult time for us to keep everything on track and get the project completed before I reasonably thought possible. The removal of the old appliances and the installation of the new was efficient and done extraordinarily well. I couldn’t be happier with our decision to use Callier & Thompson. They have done numerous projects for us and we have never been disappointed. They and their representatives are responsive, professional, accommodating and strive to understand their customers’ needs and objectives. They give practical, effective solutions that always puts their customers first.

Let me take a moment of your time to talk to you about my experience with Christine Sullivan, a designer with Callier and Thompson. I have had extensive remodeling work done this past year that included 3 bathrooms, a bedroom, full kitchen, living room, dining room and stairs and Christine calming but professionally handled all of the details. Sometimes I knew what I wanted and sometimes I didn’t, however Christine somehow read my mind and gave me exactly what I needed. It was a long and tedious process that could easily test your nerves, but I knew that I had Christine in my court working for me. I also want to give a shout out to the crew that did the actual labor and acknowledge the professionalism that they showed towards me and my property. Nothing was too hard or too complicated and they treated my property with respect. If a problem arose, they worked as a team to resolve my issues and did it in a timely manner. If you are in the market to upgrade your home, I encourage you to choose this company for all your remodeling work and be sure to ask for Christine. You won’t be disappointed.

We were looking to upgrade our somewhat dated and average kitchen and knew about the well-respected Callier and Thompson name. After a discussion with a couple acquaintances who both had used them and had nothing but high praises, we knew we probably wouldn’t need to look elsewhere. and scheduled a showroom visit. Initially met with designer Christine O'Sullivan and had a tour of their extensive showroom and vast selection of cabinets, counters, sinks, tile, fixtures, accessories, and appliances. She listened to our goals, ideas and likes/dislikes, and took the time to explain their process and what to expect with the Callier and Thompson "experience". There was also an in-home visit, initial design with a budget analysis, additional meetings at the showroom and home, lots of selections and coordinating, and then a finalized design. They truly have a tried and tested procedure and everything is meticulously documented, monitored, accounted for and was accessible to us thru a project manager software app. No one else we ever worked with in the past for anything had this meticulous of a mindset when it comes to a project and practically nothing is left to chance. We have full documentation of all measurements, plans, cabinetry, accessories, appliances, warranties, maintenance info, etc. all in one neatly presented notebook for future reference. Christine's ideas, attentiveness to detail and her accessibility were second to none and we highly value our time working together. Last minute design changes and upgrades were handled graciously. She added tremendous value and insight to the whole experience and made the result so much more rewarding. We cannot say enough good things about her. It was also a pleasure to work with Greg Fleer, the lead carpenter. He did meticulous work, was very knowledgeable and took the time to share ideas and keep us posted on things. A great guy and real asset to Callier and Thompson. The quality, fit and finish of the custom walnut cabinetry and trim is superb. Well worth the wait. Everything from the counters to the tile to the wall plates to the extensive lighting just work very well together and we are so pleased with the quality workmanship and end result. The whole firm from the owners Bob and Carolyn, project manager Josh, Matt w appliances, the painters Phil, Amy and Andrea and everyone else on the staff were exceptionally detail orientated, friendly and took pride in their work. The subcontractors Callier and Thompson used were fully vetted and also did a great job. Everyone cleaned up every day and there were many precautions to protect and contain the work area. They also stand behind all their work and are available if the need would ever arise for anything down the road. Needless to say, as in real life, there will be some slight delays - scheduling of installations and services, possible supply issues, etc. Be prepared on making do without the use of the room while being remodeled for a few months. Brush up on your air fryer/microwave food ideas and carry out choices. Stock up on disposable tableware and get used to buying ice every couple days. There's typically a wait for the counters to be fabricated and city inspections to be performed. Consider these small sacrifices for a big payoff later. Overall, it was a very worthy experience with a fantastic end result and a great investment in our home, and we would easily do it all over again. The outlay for the project was not inexpensive, but that is only a concern if value is not perceived, and there is extreme high value received from working with Callier and Thompson. From our experience, we give nothing less than our highest recommendation.
