BEWARE! Terrible work and takes forever to get anything done. BEWARE! Terrible work and takes forever to get anything done. I dropped the bike off May 30th to have handle bars and risers installed. The shop ordered cables. Owner did the install same day and called me to pick the bike up as he was getting ready to leave for vacation the next day. There was a check engine light on the last time this shop did work to my bike, so I figured I would just clear it when I got home. It was beginning to rain so I rode it home slowly. When I got home, I could get a throttle code to clear, as it was an active code. Also, the brake cable that had ordered and installed was too short and the cable was being stretched to the point of having tension on it at a full left turn lock, like when a bike is normally parked. The next day, when I was able to take it out, the bike was lacking throttle response. I dropped it off on 6/3 for the shop to look at it after someone there insisted, they would just have to clear the codes and I would be good to go. I got a call from the shop blaming the bars on being too tall for affecting the brake cable the shop had sized incorrectly and was told they would have to look into the throttle. When the owner got back the next week and was able to look at the throttle, he found out that they, Busted Knuckles, had broken the throttle sensor when they replaced it. I was told they would order it and replace it. This was early June. I had also talked to a shop employee telling them that I had lower risers that would likely alleviate the throttle cable issue and if they would swap the risers out for no charge, I wouldn’t worry about the cable and it could likely fix it. After several weeks of waiting, I called the shop to find out the throttle sensor was on back order. At that point, I talked to a shop employee and not the owner and asked if I could pick the bike up and bring it back home so they wouldn’t have to keep it in their shop to take up space. I was told at that point that the bike wasn’t together and it wouldn’t be possible to take it, so I left it at that. I kept calling to check on the part every week or two and eventually I was told it was received on July 17th. From there, I gave them two weeks and hadn’t heard anything. I called and was told they were busy and they could probably get to it by the next week. After several weeks of phone calls, I was told that they were busy and they would get to it when they could and that they didn’t have enough work for the amount of bikes they had. It was apparently easy enough to do the work when the owner wanted some cash to go on vacation, but he couldn’t spend the same amount of time to fix a customer’s bike THAT HE HAD BROKEN. I finally gave the shop an ultimatum on August 6th, that if they didn’t have the bike together and ready to go by August 8th, I would have another trusted shop pick the bike up and fix it and would bill them for it. I received a call the morning of August 8th that the bike was picked up and ready to go. When I got to the shop to pick the bike up, they charged me over $100 to swap out the risers. When they pulled the bike out of the shop, the first thing I noticed that the risers were installed incorrectly. The FLUSH MOUNT risers were not installed flush mount to the triple trees. Some idiot installed them on a second set of risers. The handle bars were scratched up and not seated center in the risers. Both brake levers were sloppy and full of play. The brake and clutch hand controls were pointed in different directions with one angled down and one angled up. In addition to that, a turn signal bulb up front no longer works and the bike had new scratches on it. On the way home, the handlebars came loose within the clamps and rolled back while I was riding the bike. This caught me by surprise and could have caused me to wreck and potentially put my life at risk. DO NOT GO TO THIS SHOP. They do terrible, dangerous work.
