I was referred to Bulldog by a previous customer and they came out quick to review doing a roof repair. Then promised to follow up after their recommendation of doing an insurance claim with testing, we thought was a great idea. I reached out 4 times to follow up if testing results were back and was informed by Chris multiple times he would get back to me. It has now been 2 months and disappointed that they would encourage us to proceed and then not follow up, if they didn’t want the job I wish they would have just said so and we would have found someone else sooner. Customer Service does not seem to be a priority.
Having a home that was nearing 40 years old, it was clearly becoming time to consider pursuing renovations that would allow it to thrive for another 40 years. Our wood siding was warped and beginning to leak, our soffits were plywood and offered no ventilation, a previous fly-by-night roofer had retrofitted ventilation boots on the roof, causing periodic leaking to occur. It was relatively sustainable, but I could read the writing on the wall that major issues would result if nothing was done.
After carefully researching top roofers, gutter specialists, and siding professionals in my area, I began interviewing them one by one. When it came to roofing, I felt relatively comfortable with the first two roofers I had met. They had strong reviews and a track record of working on quality projects, but while they weren’t pushy, it was clear to me securing the costliest renovation was their main concern. When I last had Chris Kiepert with BullDog Roofing come out to my house, I was blown away. Not only did he approach our meeting without a hint of pressure, Chris made keen observations the other well-vetted roofers did not. He recognized the fact my roof did not have an adequate cricket approximating the chimney, that my main roof had a ridge that was too short for traditional ridge venting, among other things. One recommendation he made that still blows me away is the fact I wanted a copper gable vent to replace the existing wooden one. He informed me that with GAF roofing systems, cooling is optimized by having ventilation at the bottom and top of the roof system, and that a gable vent would actually compromise cooling in this case. Chris had an opportunity to accept thousands of dollars more in my business but clearly cared more about giving me an honest appraisal of my situation. It was clear to me that BullDog Roofing was the roofer I needed. Ultimately, I felt so comfortable with their ethic I charged them with the responsibility of my guttering and siding as well.
From start to finish, I remained blown away by their expertise and care. They worked efficiently, but with tremendous care and attention. I never felt like my property was being treated disrespectfully, and I was perfectly comfortable leaving them unsupervised while I was away at work. The products they offer are top tier, and I cannot speak highly enough about GAF’s TimberSteel product.
While it is a newer product offered by GAF, it was clear to me that it had been vetted tremendously, which is no surprise given GAF’s reputation as the premier roofing manufacturer. With Chris Kiepert and his team being Master Elite GAF certified, I knew that it would be installed with impeccable care, and I was right. Coming up on almost half a year since installation, I could not be more satisfied with the look and durability of this roof. Aesthetically pleasing and with a shingled-design, this steel roof system is geared for heavy hail and wind, with a decades-long warranty against hail almost the size of a baseball, and an unlimited wind warranty. It is a clean and robust system that looks amazing, and combined with the exceptional copper guttering and Hardie Board siding done by Chris Kiepert and his team, our house looks better than it ever has.
I could offer dozens more examples of how Chris and his team at BullDog Roofing went far above and beyond for my family and me. Despite the incredible work he completed last Spring, Chris has not asked me once to write a review. He and his team just focus on doing good work for people, and they know it speaks for itself.
I am embarrassed I hadn’t taken the time to share my thoughts on this incredible company sooner, but am grateful to say that many months later it is perfectly clear that it was done impeccably, and I remain completely blown away by my investment in their services.
Had Marcus come out and give a quote on fixing my soffit and gables. Very professional, and gave a high standard for what service should be. His crew provided excellent work in a timely manner and ensured all my repair needs were met. Hands down they will beat any competition, I will have them out again whenever my roof needs work.
