Questions & answers

Helpful answers

Quick answers from this business profile.

How does septic system installation work from start to finish?
Septic installation begins with a full property evaluation to assess soil conditions, layout, and system requirements. The owner designs a system that meets environmental standards, then handles permits, engineering plans, soil logs, and installation. At B.J. Sewer & Septic, the process concludes with final inspections to confirm proper operation and compliance.
What affects the cost of septic system installation?
B.J. Sewer & Septic Installation cost depends on soil conditions, property layout, system size, and the type of system required. Challenging soil or tight spaces may require alternative designs or additional engineering. Permitting, soil testing, and final inspections also contribute to total project cost, which varies by property in Jackson, NJ.
How do soil conditions impact septic system design?
Soil type determines drainage capacity, system size, and placement requirements for proper wastewater treatment. Poor drainage or high clay content may require alternative septic designs or larger drain fields. At B.J. Sewer & Septic, soil logs are performed during the evaluation to ensure the system is properly engineered for site conditions.

I called BJ Septic and Sewer because my leech field was saturated. They came out, evaluated and quoted the job, explained to me what they were going to be doing and got to work the very next day. Each of the crew members was just as nice as the first. They were professional, informative and very hard working. I would recommend B.J. Septic and Sewer to any one. Thanks BJ and the entire crew for cleaning up the mess and giving me a system that should out last me!!!

While in process of selling our home, we found out our septic tank was undersized and needed full replacement. I contacted Bill and he was so responsive and quick to answer any and all questions. He assured me things would be done before our closing date and he went above and beyond to bring that to fruition! Our engineering was not easy but he and his team made the entire process feel seamless. I would highly recommend him over and over again to anyone in need of anything septic related! We owe you our deepest gratitude

I called B.J. Sewer & Septic because I had a septic inspection on my 5 year old house and was told the leech field was bad. It turns out it needed to be replaced. Bill Johnson was very informative and helpful with the whole process. Since we were trying to close a couple of weeks later, he assured me he would have it done by the time of closing. He was absolutely correct! I couldn't believe how fast everything was, start to finish. I know fast doesn't always mean good but him and his team were amazing! They informed us of everything they were doing, took pictures along the way, and were so kind and professional. He really taught me so...
