I have been going from mechanic to mechanic my whole life having to take thier word for it and only finding out far too late I shouldn't have. These guys are HONEST. They'll not only be honest woth you about what is or isn't wrong with your car they'll do something no mechanic ever does. They'll tell you when thew DON'T KNOW whats wrong instead of just taking your money and saying they do. It's GREAT. :')
Nothing but good things to say about them. They know so much about cars and Ryan is a true diagnostician with a masters in auto stuff. Tracey is warm, inviting, and personable. They have done an amazing job on my car and I hope to use them for a long time! Thankful to find such honest mechanics and good people
The managers of the shop (Ryan and Tracy) are good people who do good work and look out for their customers. I highly recommend them for any service they can provide.
I had been coming here for 3 years for alignments and always had great experiences with the owner — he was friendly and always helped me with any issues. This past week, I went in for my usual alignment and dealt with Tracy and her husband. They refused to do the alignment unless I bought all new tires, insisting all four needed replacing. They quoted me $1,100 for the tires and alignment.
I ended up getting all new tires somewhere else, then went back to Big 5 to have them put the tires on and do the alignment. Afterward, I had to go to another shop to get my tire pressure checked because Big 5 had overinflated my tires. While I was there, I asked them to check my old tires (which I kept) — they told me I only needed one replaced and the rest were fine.
This experience left me feeling like I was being taken advantage of. I will not be returning, and I’d caution others to be careful.
