We had to wait weeks for our furnace to be repaired during the cold snap. The first person they sent didn't repair it and spent most of the time on his phone. A couple weeks later they sent another guy over and he had to come back the next day to finally finish up. We paid the bill and he left. Then we got another bill in the mail for over $600! Talked to Clay in regard to why we were sent a bill after they had already been paid. He was rude, condescending and disrespectful. Still don't know what this bill is for...just told we have to pay it!! If there was something less than one star I could give I would. I would definitely not recommend them to anyone and I certainly will never use them again.
I was given a qoute for the work. On completion I paid my bill but three weeks later I get sent another bill that more than doubles what I was told that I would pay for the repair. My system was clean with a new pressure switch and inducer fan that just needed the inducer housing replaced. I should have just done it myself but I wanted the repairs done before I left for vacation. I was lied to and misinformed of the price. The tech they sent spent hours on the phone having someone walk them through what to do. They should have just sent the person he was talking to if he didn't know what to do. I am pretty sure the technician said they did additional work as an excuse for their incompetence on the repair. Also, when the job was done I had water leaking into my house, furnace is in the roof, and the condenser pipe was busted. I fixed it because I was leaving on vacation and it had already been more than a month without heat. I keep calling and leaving messages with people and on the automated system but no one can explain the bill or get back to me.

I spoke to someone named Clay about the bill. I didn't want to name the tech but his name was Jon. He said he was here hours he wasn't, broke stuff in my house and are trying to charge me extra. Clay told me unless I provide evidence he'll do nothing about it because he trusts Jon and can provide evidence. I was completely calm in my conversation with Clay until I was threatened with legal action with collections. I asked if I can contest the bill and was told I can just not pay it and when in court my mother's and brother's testimony won't be evidence of Jon's wrongdoing. I have never felt more disgusted with a company I've had to deal with. I am not a professional when it comes to furnaces but I know enough to know Jon is a incompetent liar. Jon misinformed me about the price, Jon told me I was going to be charged a cetain amount per hour and Clay said they don't charge by the hour. If you don't know enough about furnaces try somewhere else, because if they can, I have little doubt they will lie. I shouldn't have to film and record my entire interaction with a company to make sure they do their job properly. If I have to hold their hand to make sure they are doing their jobs properly that is ridiculous.

With the threat of legal litigation I am forced to pay because I cannot afford a lawyer to fight this. I am still upset about a company doing this and with people struggling so much I would advise against using Bert Black services. One of the work orders was apparently signed by me 3 hours after Jon left my house, which would mean Jon signed it. Bert Black says they refuse to believe anything I am saying and they support their technician. Apparently he's a honest hardworking guy but how do you not know you broke a PVC pipe and just leave it there. That's how mold and rot happen and luckily I was able to catch it before it caused serious issues. I will not have anything to do with Bert Black again.
Payed the guy 80$ for him to tell me we don't work on your brand of water heater but we can sell you a new one. I understand that he had to travel but because he couldn't fix the unit the most i should have payed is 40
The representatives and repairman were extremely responsive to our needs. They handled all of our repair work professionally and expeditiously. Our 2 HVAC systems are now working perfectly well We have been with this company for more than 25 years and are grateful for their good work, professional approach. and empathy for the needs of their customers. I give them 5 stars for every aspect of their work
Nicholson's is a wonderful company with wonderful employees. They are professional, clean up after themselves very well and are fast, efficient and cost effective. They are the best in the business.
