We had an issue with the furnace in our condo in Chicago, called precision heating and cooling to send out a technician to check it out on Sunday Feb 15th 2026. A guy named Ryan came over, checked it and said that safety pressure switch which is connected to the draft inducer motor housing tube through a red silicone rubber, is bad and needed to be replaced, he also checked the red rubber tube. He said that this will happened on Monday the 16th, because the warehouse is closed on Sundays. Monday we called again, and the company Precision heating and cooling sent Luis Soto to check the furnace/safety pressure switch and replace it with a new one. I was watching him the whole time wile he was working on the issue. After checking everything he said the same thing Ryan mentioned the day before, but he also checked the draft inducer motor's tube opening and found out that it was clogged. He used an allen key and cleared the opening. Seeing that I asked him, if he doesn't mind to test the old safety switch to se if it is still working. He did so, and the old switch was working fine, but he replaced it with the newer model after speaking to his supervisor, just for peace of mind for us. Luis was more meticulous than Ryan and put an extra effort to check every component thoroughly. Job well done! Thank you Luis! P.S. If an issue arise in the future, we will request Luis Soto for repairs/replacements on our furnace. To the AWE Air Water Energy: FYI, the service took place in Lakeview, Chicago.
