I paid $82 to have someone say they didn’t want to do the job. Wish they would’ve said that upfront saved me $82. When I dropped my vehicle off, I stated multiple times that it’s been diagnosed and I’m 90% sure it is the torque converter. I need it replaced. We were across the street at a store pretty much all day. It is a 40 minute drive from the store to my house. When I left there, my vehicle had not been touched yet. By the time I get home. They call me and said it’s not that bad. Let it get worse. Then they will feel comfortable doing a transmission rebuild. Not willing to just replace my torque converter now. If you don’t wanna do the work, just tell people upfront. Very disheartening now I have to take it to the dealer. Because I’m from Tulsa and can’t trust the shops out here I guess.
Arkansas Transmission did an awesome job at a great price. Another shop quoted me at over $9,000 for a new transmission. The team here fixed my vehicle without a rebuild, saving me an obscene amount of money. They were quick, affordable, and excellent communicators. I am thrilled with the repair and their incredible professionalism.
Not a friendly place. After a nearly two hour wait, I returned expecting a transmission diagnosis. The receptionist politely explains in detail the failures in my transmission and the work that needed to be done, as well as a price quote of $6300. I agreed after the thorough explanation, and asked for the work to be done on paper. She refused, then reached out to owner, and he angrily refused. I went to another transmission shop with no documentation issues, and paid a more attractive price. Buyer Beware here.
