Great process, great price, great product, great installation team. I opted for a 12-gauge steel frame as well as the max on the sheeting, and I'm glad I did! We've been bombed with snow this winter and the carport is up to the task and then some. Thanks for an all-around great buying experience, from beginning to end.
Lead time was right on with what I was told. 3 guys showed up and completed my my 30x40x12 in about 9 hours. Clean up was done really well except for some screws which I kind of expected. Everytime I called for info or finalizing details they were very helpful.
So far im very satisfied with how the 20’x30’ metal building turned out. The whole process took about one year to complete. There was alot of back and forth to get the right configuration (paint colors, roof pitch, gauge of steel, as built drawings etc). My sales person (Gabe) was outstanding. Stamped engineering drawings of my actual structure were required by the town and cost extra. This also added about one month to the timeline. Concrete foundation was contracted separately. I was required to change installers due to extra cost for a lift with initial installation company plus i would be required to provide/rent it. Not all installers offer the same paint colors which also caused some confusion/delay. Would like to see options for water remediation ie. gutters, brush seals, threshold for roll-up doors, and something for around the foundation to prevent water seeping in. Installation team was excellent - showed up on time and did quality work - also cleaned up the worksite.
Overall my experience was excellent. I had to download a translation app. Crew was fast building came out as expected and trim was neat and even. Downside, I had dozens of self tapping sheet metal screws all over my driveway which cost me 2 new tires. But for the price and product I would use them again
The installers were fantastic. The engineering dept of the local affiliate was awful. They didn't have a contractor's license to construct the building on our property. They spent over a month alternately promising to resolve it with the city and avoiding us. Then magically we got a call saying they could be at our house in 2 days. The installation team was efficient and quick. We're very happy with the garage if not the process. One other thing, the permit reviewers were very confused by the language on the plans. I had to explain 3 times that the building was a garage not a carport. The downside of 1 set of plans for several products.
