Williar was prompt and personable. My neighbors needed him to go to their backyard to have access to my garage right away and he was able to talk with them and put them at ease. I also had a lot of anxiety about traps being there and he showed me how to work the traps. He showed me what happens and he said anytime. I feel that a trap has been snapped. Call right away and within 24 hours somebody will be there. He also gave me his personal number so that I could call if I had any questions that I didn't think of at that time. He just did a bunch of stuff above and beyond
I contacted Alley Cat to come fix an issue we've had for years. Seasonal rodent infestation. Wilder came out and listened carefully to the history, our concerns then did a very thorough investigation and inspection of our two story hillside home. Afterwards he explained his findings and recommendations. He even discussed other remedies so we could make an informed decision. We never felt pressured or being sold. Excellent advice and explanations. After other quotes and inspections we decided on Alley Cat. While waiting for our scheduled start date we heard more noises and Wilder ordered placement of traps in the meantime.
Melvin came and placed traps in our family room attic where we're hearing scratching activity. Very quick and efficient.
Jelder, team leader arrived on time, did a walk thru and had the team get to work.
This is a scheduled 4 day project to remove contaminated insulation, to clean and sanitize and rodent proof our entire crawlspace. Day 1 was terrific.
I'll update as we progress.
Update 01/31/2025:
After significant back-and-forth, I am updating my rating to 3 stars.
To AlleyCat’s credit, this issue was ultimately resolved amicably. After escalating the matter multiple times, their operations manager did come out, identified the outstanding issues, and ensured the work was finally completed properly. They also followed through with partial compensation, which I appreciate.
That said, this was far from a five-star experience. It required an excessive amount of effort on my part to document problems, provide photos and videos, follow up repeatedly, and essentially prove that contracted work had not been completed. The resolution only came after persistent escalation and weeks of back-and-forth, which is not what I would consider a smooth or customer-friendly process.
I’m giving credit where it’s due for eventually making things right, but the amount of time, stress, and self-quality-control required to get there prevents this from being an excellent customer experience. Potential customers should be aware that while AlleyCat may ultimately stand behind their work, it may take significant persistence to get issues addressed.
Original Review:
If I could give zero stars, I would. I was originally recommended to AlleyCat by my realtor who has used them for years, which makes this experience even more shocking.
After three weeks of waiting for my scheduled abatement and cleanup, the crew finally arrived and immediately gave off a rushed, hurried vibe. Unfortunately, that first impression turned out to be absolutely correct. My contractors, who were on site for unrelated work, later documented over 25 photos of areas that were supposed to be cleaned but were left completely untouched. This included mice droppings, contaminated surfaces, debris, and contractually listed items that were simply ignored.
I notified AlleyCat management the same day, providing them with the photographic evidence. To their credit, they were polite at first, but then put me back in the queue with no urgency, no accountability, and no expedited solution despite their failure to deliver what I paid for.
Fast forward another month before the next crew showed up. They were at my property for less than an hour, most of which they spent simply wandering around without tools. Sensing this was another half-hearted visit, I filmed the entire thing. And just as expected, the cleaning was not done, not even close.
I sent the video to AlleyCat customer support immediately. They promised to respond.
That was two days ago.
Since then, I have called multiple times, left voicemails, sent emails, and received nothing in return. No follow-up, no ownership, no remediation plan. Just a complete, unacceptable disregard for a customer who has already proven twice that the job was not completed as contracted.
Given the thousands of dollars I paid and the evidence showing they barely performed the work, I have now initiated a formal dispute with my credit card company.
After this ordeal, I genuinely feel scammed.
My advice to anyone considering AlleyCat: RUN.
There are many reputable companies that actually:
- do the work they contractually agree to
- communicate with customers
- and stand behind their services
AlleyCat, in my experience, is not one of them.
Save yourself the stress, the time, and potentially thousands of dollars. Avoid this company at all costs.
